AC/DC uses 'The N word'

XHonusWagnerX - 4-6-2006 at 10:47 AM

On Howard Stern yesterday and today they were disecting the lyrics to BACK IN BLACK. The first verse that has the lines that I always heard as "Season tickets on a one way ride". Well aparently there have always been rumors that those were not the lyrics and on Howard they slowed it down and filtered it a little and it really does sound like "Hes a nigger on a one way ride".

Artie Lange is also a HUGE AC/DC fan and he always heard that the recorded version uses 'the N word' and says that when they do the song live that Brian Johnson really exagerates the line stressing the words 'SEASON TICKET'.

They also played a Billy Joel song that when you really listen closely it sounds like the uses it also!

Who knew Skrewdriver & Ice Cube wern't the one ones!

it was "Highway to Hell" not "Back In Black" bro. Anyone who thinks Bon Scott doesn't say "nigger" is insane...there's no fuckin way he says "season ticket". I've always thought that. Howard & Robin have such bad memories, they had this same exact discussion the last time AC/DC was on the show and they concluded that it was "nigger"

yah I realized it was Highway to Hell, but didnt correct the post. I suck, my bad.

Anyway... They did a "Howard News Story" and actually called Brian Johnson and he says that its "Season Ticket on a one-way line" and that he never even heard anyone claim that Bon Scott had said 'nigger'.

sounds like he might have a bad memory as well. they'll never admit it, think about the bad publicity they'd get if that came out for real. When I die I'm gonna find Bon Scott and ask him.

so what billy milano said nigger too
and my dad says it all the time
ac/dc is timeless

Ah, whatever. I love old AC/DC, never been much of a fan of the stuff after Back In Black. That was really the only album where I liked Brian's vocals. A word is just a word, it only has as much power as you let it, no matter who says it. I don't really think going back through old songs to see if bands used words that aren't P.C. now is a worthwhile use of anybody's time.

nwa said the n word a few times a minute
yella was white
I still don't care

never liked ac/dc much....

I couldn't care less what they say...I think the fact that they do say it is funny. AC/DC is one of my top five favorite bands ever. Bon Scott, Brian Johnson...doesn't matter, I love everything they did except the last 3 albums were boring as shit.

An Australian band saying 'nigga' doesn't really make sense as we dont have many people of african descension here and it wasn't that common a word until rap got big.
