I think its probably a bad thing because even though the Simpsons are still great they have reached their peak and are not as big as they used to be. If it was a dirrect to dvd movie I would support it, but I think a theater released movie is a bad idea.

This will be great. Shows like American Dad, South Park and Family guy have taken away from Simpsons. I don't get to watch the Simpsons because my daughter is still up at that time and I LOVE Family Guy. Simpsons is fading and I think this Movie will be a way of sending it off.

God Bless Homer.

Yay.

The Simpsons got old years ago. For my tastes anyways. The wife swap episode this year was the first new episode I've watched in about 4 or 5 years. I only watched that one because Ricky Gervais wrote it and appeared in it.

The Office rules.

I was a huge Simpsons fan for many years, a huge fan...but now it's so fuckin bad man. I've been Tivo-ing the new episode this season and they are just awful. I think the movie will be big just because it's the Simpsons. I read in Entertainment Weekly that the people writing the movie are the same guys who wrote the 1990's era episodes which are considered the peak period of the show. Maybe it'll be good, I doubt it though.

Its a good thing. Simply becasue it will signal the end of the simpsons tv show. Mat G always said he wanted to do a movie to and make it the swan song of the simpsons. this may be it. the show has got to end. I am sorry to say it and I love the show, but its not like it used to be. Rumor has it that they have wanted ot end the show since 1998 but haven't been able to pass the money up. they threatedn to end it and they always come back with even better offers to continue.

DeathByForce - 4-10-2006 at 02:15 PM

Yeah, this is said to be the end of it. I'm excited.

joemaconmovies - 4-10-2006 at 02:25 PM

I'm for the idea, whether the show ends or continues after it. I just want to see The Simpsons on the big screen, whether it does well or not. I'll enjoy it.

DaveMoral - 4-10-2006 at 05:50 PM

I'm into it... but I'll lament the day the Simpsons goes... Family Guy is great and all, but the Simpsons does the same thing with out some of the over-the-top idiocy... It has, however, dropped off since season 5. Good thing there's DVD.

Anyone get the Family Guy movie that had to go straight to DVD because of piracy? "Stewie Griffin-The Untold Story"? It's great.

clevohardcore - 4-10-2006 at 06:09 PM

Na is it good? I want to see it. family guy is taking over fro Simpsons in my book. SOUTHPARK is jsut the best ever though.

Yes it does.

Regarding the movie, I think it's a bad idea but would love to be proven wrong.

Johnny Cash is his spirit guide.

It is time to put it to bed though. As big a fan as I am, its got to end.

joemaconmovies - 4-10-2006 at 09:57 PM

I don't think it has to end. It's still better then most of the shows out there. It only seems like it's really sinking compared to the greatness of the early seasons. It just happens. I say they make it for as long as they can. I'll still watch and buy the DVDs.

DaveMoral - 4-10-2006 at 11:57 PM

I don't care how bad it is... I don't want to ever lose the Simpsons honestly...

juan, the insanity peppers one is classic.

There's so much good that's come from the Simpsons and regardless of how inconsistent the show has been... I still get some good laughs out of it.

The Family Guy movie is hilarious. Random shit, it's like a 2 hour long Stewie and Brian adventure with Peter, Lois, Meg and Chris doing their own thing along the way. It's great. Watch it.
