Opie & Anthony back on 'Terestrial Radio'

XHonusWagnerX - 4-20-2006 at 06:51 AM

Aparently David Lee Roth has been fired and he is being replaced by an edited feed of the Opie & Anthony show which is currently broadcast on XM Satelite radio.

I dont have any other details right now, but I thought it was interesting and pretty big news!

man those guys suck balls. They hate Howard but the 3 times I've heard them all they did was talk about Howard for at least 45 mins to an hour at a time.

really nice to see all these clones failing in the abscence of stern. proves just how much he was on top of the talk radio industry and how much he is missed.

Howard made a good point this morning about this...don't you think this is bad for XM since Opie & Anthony aren't exclusive content to XM anymore? Why would you buy XM if you can get the shit for free?

I heard Opie and Anthony are really funny, but I've never heard them personally.

crazyfists28 - 4-20-2006 at 12:10 PM

the replacement in rochester was a guy named rover out of chicago. to me its like nails on a chalkboard listening to him and his crew cuz they are such a crappy knockoff of stern. its like they are trying wayyy to hard to be cutting edge when it comes off as cheesy and annoying.

I am a Opie And Anthony fan. I think some new listeners would get turned onto their show and buy Xm radios to hear the show uncencored.

JUICE MAYNE MSHC - 4-20-2006 at 12:47 PM

yeah we got Rover here too...man does he suck

i use to listen to O&A when they were on free radio, but mainly for
Jim Norton. He is the best part of the show.

BDx13 - 4-20-2006 at 11:46 PM

i've never heard o&a, although i'm sure xm is making a killing off licensing that show out. it seems like every station on i nthe philly area has some stern-knock-off fools on the air constantly. the only thing i listen to in the car other than my ipod is the classical/jazz station.

Philly radio BLOWS.

I always make sure to have CDs with me in the car or the radio off at this point.
