New Blood For Blood fan site...

xChino_Martinezx - 5-3-2006 at 10:09 PM

Yes, another Blood For Blood fan site here: http://www.blood4blood.cjb.net (it's cool, so check it out, damn it)

Greetings, my friends. I'm not actually that new to the board, I registered like 1 month ago or something like that, but it's the first time I post here, so be cool and say my Blood For Blood site is nice, nah, I'm kiddin', just let me know what you think about it. Blood For Blood is an awesome band, one of my favorites...

By the way, if you haven't yet, but I'm sure you all did, check XnMeX's site about Blood For Blood: http://home.comcast.net/%7Ebloodforblood/index.htm.I liked that site even more than mine, it's really complete.

I hope to start postin' along with all of you more frequently. Take care and keep representin'. Peace.

hey - welcome to the thorp board and thanks for hooking up a blood for blood site. unfortunately, i can barely see anything using safari on a mac - just a small part of the side of an image. firefox is a little better, but only because a logo displays.

At least it's good to know that I'm not the only one having this problem, BD.

XnMeX - 5-4-2006 at 06:20 AM

Pretty cool site. I have a question though...

Previous members:

Gina Benavides ? Bass (knew of her, back before Ian... Was on the Soulless 7 and SMLB)
Davey Gaitan ? Guitar (??? When was he in? Was he a 2nd guitarist?)
Greg Dellaria ? Bass (??? When was he in?)
Mike ?Captain? Mahoney - Drums (Everyone knows mike so no q's or comments)

BTW: My site is the official site, not just a fan site (though it started out that way) ;)

Greg Dellaria played bass on the "Hurt You" demo from 95.

This was in the liner notes from Wasted Youth Brew. Also mentioned Jeremy Wooden playing bass on the track that was previously unreleased.

that site sucks!

BDx13 - 5-4-2006 at 11:16 AM

monty - do you have a proper domain name for that site? how much does it cost to host? also, the urls for the mp3 and video from thorp have changed.

Nope, no proper url for it. I have been meaning to get one, but have been to poor/cheap to. It always seems the url's they get, they let go of so I would have to get somthing new, and the .org,net, and com are taken and used for BS. Hosting = comes with my internet service. Thing that sucks, is I am moving and changing service, so the site might go down for a bit. I haven't done anything to the site in a bit, so i'll have to update that stuff when I change it over.

someone should post pictures of gina

XHonusWagnerX - 5-4-2006 at 05:00 PM

Thats not a bad fan site! It looks better than my Slapshot site (www.WWCD.cjb.net)

Suggestions:
There definitly should be a link to the Slapshot website www.OldTimeHardcore.com
There could be a link to my site www.WWCD.cjb.net

last thing:
I like when a discography has ALL the pressing info for all the releases. Like if it was on CD, Cassette, Vinyl. What color the vinyls were released in. Pressing numbers if avalable. All the info like that for a super fan/collector.

Discipline - 5-4-2006 at 05:09 PM

I didn't know you did that site. I remember finding that site some time ago. The whole what would choke do thing cracked me up.

BDx13 - 5-4-2006 at 05:10 PM

not surprisingly, the page lays out fine in IE on a PC. looking at the code, though, it's a wonder anything displays. don't get me wrong, chino, we appreciate your support, it's just that the site's code could definitely use some improvements.

haha... thanks... its supose to be funny! I know the site isnt that good, but Im working on a much better Slapshot site that would be mainly for a discography and to show my collection.

DaveMoral - 5-4-2006 at 06:28 PM

So it would be more of a Josh's Slapshot Collection site than a Slapshot site? ;)

well there already is a slapshot site. I want to have an INSANELY FULL Discography and pics of my collection. Links and maybe a news section.

I have the layout done, but I need to get the pictures resized and ive been really lazy lately.

DaveMoral - 5-4-2006 at 10:50 PM

Haha, dude, you're a psycho-fan. I don't think I like anything that much... not even Star Wars.

No argument there. I definitly have OCD in a bunch of aspects of my life and slapshot is one of them. I used to collect a bunch of differant stuff but then I kept thinking that I had to much junk so I just focus it all on trying to have one complete collection of stuff (slapshot)

:)

xChino_Martinezx - 5-5-2006 at 11:36 AM

Thanks for the welcome, I feel just like home... Yeah, the site needs a really serious adjustment in html codes, I'll try to work on that. The original site had a diferent codification compatible even in a microwave or a playstation, but I had really bad luck with my pc, some technical difficulties, ya know, and that's what I came up with later. It's actually a crappy word html code for now, hahaha, down here (Panama) we have a serious monopoly with microsoft, so we're used to everything workin' with IE perfectly. And my apologies to XnMeX, I'll put your site as the official site right away, bro. I'll also add the Slapshot site and the Slapshot fan site, it's a cool site too...

That comment really cracked me up, hahaha, it's all good, psycho fans are always good for a band, they give the best support, as long as they don't start stalkin' anyone or goin' through people's garbage like "hey, I found a slice of pizza in xHonusx's trash, I'll put it under my pillow and dream about it" or something like that, hahaha, that would be really f@#ked up...

I'm not quite sure about where I got the name Dave Gaitan as a previous member, I'll do some research on that, I remember I read that somewhere, but don't remember where. And here's Gina:

That was back then with the Spit My Last Breath (I think that one came out under Open Handed Records)

BDx13 - 5-5-2006 at 11:44 AM

wow, chino comin' through with the pic, nice!
good luck with the site edits.

XnMeX - 5-5-2006 at 12:34 PM

Yeah, that is the pic from the back of the Soulless 7 inch I believe.

As for Spit My Last Breath, the vinyl was released by Open Handed Records, but the cd was released by Lost Disciple Records (an obscure label that released mostly metal). ;)

You gusy should get together and make the ultimate discography like I did for Slapshot!

Too many compolations to track down the names of. On my site it has a partial list of comps and splits and me asking if anyone knows any others, to send the info my way.

As for pressings, I don't know that info... I know all the basics, I don't think they ever had cassettes of anything other than the demo, they have vinyl for every release I believe, as for colors.... I have NO clue. If there was actually stuff going on with BFB right now, I would be more inclined to update. Mostly all I have to update is the broken links BD pointed out and a bunch more tattoo's people have been sending in to me.
