I picked up the REBEL MEETS REBEL cd yesterday. Only listened to about 1/2 of it, but so far its good!
IF you dont know its David Allan Coe singing with Darrel, Vinnie & Rex from Pantera playing. Its not really metal, its not really country... its just
pretty good. Interesting at the very least. Check it out online www.rebelmeetsrebel.com I think they have a couple of songs on there or at least clips.

I really want to hear this. Honus, the San Quentin album is amazing, they have been playing the documentary filmed during that concert on CMT lately,

Murder is great, I'd say Folsom blows away San Quentin, but only if you get the unedited version with the restored tracks. When we drove to California
a couple months ago I played it three or four times in a row just before we got to Vegas. There's also a cool little three disc set out that covers
Cash's years at Sun and it goes for about twenty bucks most places. It's well worth it. There seem to be a whole lot of Cash box sets and best of
collections coming out ever since the movie hit big and a lot of 'em have a lot of the same stuff, but most of them are on sale pretty cheap so you

Yeah, I've been wondering what I should get in regards to Cash. I want San Quentin and Folsom for sure, but in terms of his essential studio shit...

Yeah, there seems to be a flood of releases since Cash is trendy right now. Luckily with the exception of some 70s stuff, all the years are solid.
That's the case with most of the older country singers anyway. As far as Merle goes, sounds like you probably have a good sampling of the older stuff,

get "Back to the barrooms" if you can find it,it's been out of print for awhile and is pretty hard to come by on CD...but that album is fucking
great...his best album by far in my opinion.
