i have some stuff on cd that a guy burned for me years back,
not sure if they are full albums or mixes.

i want to get some actual cds.

Just wondering what albums the good folks on here recomend?

Red Roses For Me
Rum, Sodomy & The Lash
If I should Fall From Grace With God

Those are the essentials. I think all three have been reissued with bonus tracks (really good rare singles and such) and are well worth whatever the going rate is for them.

those 3 are a must then 'peace and love'.

Shane McGowan and the Popes will definitely float your boat too. Any album will do.

definetly go with the first three mentioned.

"Hells' Ditch" has grown on me, but I didn't care for at first, same as "Peace and Love".

the good stuff on hells ditch is incredible but overall not that great an album. i definately feel that way about peace and love though, didn't care for alot of it when i was a kid, i love almost all of it now.

Yeah, I started to say that Peace And Love wasn't too good, then realized I couldn't remember what songs were on it since I never owned it and hadn't heard the album in forever. I looked it up and now I think I need to order it as it's got a lot of songs I've learned to love over the years. Definitely not their best album and probably not exactly one to recommend to new fans of the band. Same goes for Hell's Ditch, although I've had a tape of that for years and always liked most of it.
