clevohardcore - 5-23-2006 at 04:36 PM

I just talked to a friend of mine and supposedly this tour will feature 2 other awsome bands from back in the day. He did not know who but the booking agent he knows says siad "It will be a great tour". He was not aloud to say hwo they are simply because its not confirmed and one of the bands is supposed to play every show un-announced or something like that. I am buying a ticket fro the Cleveland show even though I get in free just in case. I WILL NOT MISS THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DaveMoral - 5-23-2006 at 06:33 PM

From what I understand is that Philly's own Blacklisted is supposed to be on one of the legs of this tour...

DOH! I feel stupid!

sippers - 5-23-2006 at 10:07 PM

i've heard from the guy booking houston its gonna be terror/comebak kid opening..kinda bummed on that i was hoping for maybe underdog or killing time .i wish that to be true cuz i could then die a happy man..

BDx13 - 5-23-2006 at 10:24 PM

comeback kid is doing the whole tour.
blacklisted is on some dates as well.
that's all i know.

clevohardcore - 5-24-2006 at 12:33 AM

I have never heard comeback kid. I remeber this hot chick who likes Sum 41 wore their shirt once. I never had a desire to hear them ever. Are they any good?

Six66Mike - 5-24-2006 at 01:23 AM

Toronto has Comeback Kid, Fucked Up & Murphy's Law.

I might hit that up just for Murphy's Law. GB are okay, but nothing I HAVE to see in life.

Six66Mike - 5-24-2006 at 07:56 PM

No kidding. I'm not into bands who broke up like 20 years ago coming back. It seems like cashing in on the mp3 generation & a whole new fanbase.
Reunions are pretty shit regardless but the longer a band is gone the more they should stay gone.

I'm just not into it.

BDx13 - 5-24-2006 at 10:52 PM

i suspect they're cashing in on hardcore retirees like me and my friends more than anyone else.

Discipline - 5-24-2006 at 10:54 PM

Most likely.

My thoughts exactly.

clevohardcore - 5-24-2006 at 11:28 PM

I dream of shows like this. Its what I'm about. I'm not straightedge Im not whatever but GB AF Murphys Law and SOIA are what I'm about. Its hardcore and those bands are a big part of it. I ain't dissin' shit when those bands created and influenced it. Its what I am. to have a band I grew up on that broke up when I was 15. I never got to see them play live but I know the lyrics by heart becasue its what I listen too. Its the besdt fucking thing int he world for me. I think this summer I won the lottery of sorts. I thought this would never happen. Not only a reunion BUT A FUCKING TOUR. ITS GREAT! Diss all you want that cool but I am all aboard the GB train my brothers.

CR83 - 5-25-2006 at 01:50 AM

Clevo, great post. I love shows like this because it helps reminds me of being young and they keep me young. These bands are fun and great to go see. I wish they's come to St. Louis. If they don't, shit, I dont' blame them.

For me, don't be childish. Remain "Child-like". Most imporantly, Rock The Fuck On!

Thanks guys. All grammer errors aside I ment every word.:P

Murk - 5-30-2006 at 04:09 PM

tickets are going fast.

Anaheim went on sale last Saturday and it's been sold out since yesterday.

DaveMoral - 5-30-2006 at 05:56 PM

I got my tix for Philly. A friend from SLC might be flying out, it's the day after I go home to Indiana for a week's vacation and on the way back I'm picking up another friend in Erie to come to show. It's gonna be a blast.

Endgame - 5-30-2006 at 10:25 PM

GB always had the lovers and haters especially when start today came out. I thought they were awesome, but preferred the 7 inch way more than the LP. I am going to the baltimore show even though i am in North jerz. all in all whatever their reason for doing it i would rather see GB play than most of the new crop of what is being called hardcore nowadays with the exception of bands like slumlords down low this means war state of disgrace caught in a trap etc. there are some great new bands out there doing hardcore and keeping the flame burning but there are 100 more eye make up wearing shit poppy uppy bands being called hardcore and getting way more props than the bands doing the real thing. Hopefully GB will throw some up n coming bands playing the style they helped mold rather than who's "hot topic" right now. Good to hear fucked up M Law and blacklisted are playing some of the shows. Chain of strength! and insted! sounds like a show straigh outta 1988 not 2006! No reason why to beat up on a poseur skin! Peace! psyched for the show!

Starlight Ballroom... never been. They're having the "This is Hardcore" fest there this year too... later on in August. 3 days.
