Who is stasticly the "greatest" rock band of all time?

XHonusWagnerX - 5-25-2006 at 11:17 AM

Two guys were arguing about what band had more 'HIT SONGS' between BON JOVI or METALLICA. I did a little research and found that Metallica has released only 27 Singles versus Bon Jovis 39+ released singles.

Thats doesnt prove which band had more "Hit Songs", but Im pretty sure the answer between the 2 bands in question is Bon Jovi.

Anyway, that got me thinking about what bands have the most "hit songs" or "hit singles" or whatever other way you would track something like that.

I know elvis had tons and probably the Beatles, but who else? Who for rock starting in the 70s till now had had a lot of hits?
