Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

X Men 3 tomorrow

JawnDiablo - 5-25-2006 at 10:19 PM

Yeah I have tickets already.
Took a half day from work to pick my son up then meet up with a few others from work. It looks damn good.

thedog - 5-25-2006 at 11:12 PM

it does look good, i plan on going sometime soon.

out of all the super hero movies lately, the X men movies have been the better ones.

crazyfists28 - 5-26-2006 at 03:03 PM

i havent seen any of them...i guess seeing halle berry and rebbica romein spelling? running around is good enough reason. never a big xmen fan except for the arcade game...

DaveMoral - 5-26-2006 at 04:23 PM

Rebecca Romein is basically naked when she's in her "normal" form under all that blue body paint and rubber scales over select spots.

I love X-Men, I've been prepping since Tuesday with X 1, then X2 Wednesday. Not sure when I'll hit it up... it's going to be weird to go alone though... can't exactly take the baby to the theater, and I saw all the others with my wife.

They better make a Wolverine solo flick too, that would be awesome. Delve into his past and shit.

I read in the paper last weekend that it was rumored that this would be the last X-Men flick, but there were going to be a few solo spin-off films, including a Wolverine movie. I don't know if that's true, but I hope so.

DaveMoral - 5-26-2006 at 04:34 PM

Damn well better be. Why would they even want to stop with X-Men flicks? If some of them want to go on to other shit, fuckin' let 'em. Introduce more X-Men characters. Fans want to see ALL the characters on the screen. Like in X2 there's a part where Dr Hank McCoy is on the television in the background... cool, but he wasn't Kelsey Grammar... so between that part in X2 and X3 dude grew blue fur. Crazy shit. I want to see all the characters out there. Only one I find essential to an X-Men flick is Wolvie and Prof X... and even Prof X can go out of the picture sometimes.

Discipline - 5-26-2006 at 04:38 PM

I want to see Gambit and Havoc.

DaveMoral - 5-26-2006 at 05:13 PM

Word, I'd love to see Havoc and Cyclops try to blast each other. I also want to see Angel become Archangel and I want Apocalypse to show up.

Voodoobillyman - 5-26-2006 at 05:24 PM

Mr Sinister and Mojo would be my villains of choice to see. I am going this weekend with my wife, big time fan!!!!!

DaveMoral - 5-26-2006 at 05:38 PM

I'd definitely be interested in seeing how they'd pull off Mojo with the film "realism" they're using. Sinister too. There's so much to do with X-Men there's no reason to limit it to 3 films. NO reason!

barc0debaby - 5-26-2006 at 05:57 PM

Kelsey Grammer playing Beast should be very interesting to see.

Did you stay through the credits? There is about 10 more seconds of film after ALL of the credits. If you go again make sure you sit through it.

DaveMoral - 5-26-2006 at 11:48 PM

Holy shit! Psylocke! She was always the hottest X-Woman.... seriously.

Omega fucking RED! Daaayuuum. I need to hit this up like soon! I wonder if I could make it to that tomorrow before the Righteous Jams matinee....

hah, nut i guess that explains why that fat bitch in my row wouldnt budge when we were leaving

DaveMoral - 5-27-2006 at 11:08 AM

Why do they do that and not tell you on the TV spots? "Stay after the credits for X-tra footage" or something like that.

Voodoobillyman - 5-27-2006 at 08:56 PM

defstarsteve - 5-28-2006 at 03:55 PM

good film
not as much story as the first 2 but the were the building blocks for this one...
ghost rider looks really good even with nick cage...
oh and superman looks good as well....
damn superhero's to hell......

JawnDiablo - 5-28-2006 at 09:24 PM

yeah ghost rider looks great
i thought the same of superman.
i just love going to the movies with my son in general

defstarsteve - 5-28-2006 at 09:46 PM

my 2 year old loved x-men
he is a spiderman/x-man freak
I love taking him to the theater
so much attention span for being 2
he can't wait for superman or ghost rider either

joemaconmovies - 5-29-2006 at 09:08 AM

i was severly disappointed by this movie for many reasons that would take up pages if i typed it all out. i don't want to bore you with all my bitching. so...just in short, did not like this movie. felt it hurt the series greatly. ghostrider (they played the trailer) looked awful....it's fucking nick cage. i can't take it seriously for that reason alone. i couldn't from the moment i heard about it. I'm banking on Spider-Man 3 and the next movie in the new Batman series to save comic book movies. Also...I hope Bryan left X-Men 3 to do a good job on Superman or I'll be super pissed off. Joss Whedon's approach on Wonderwoman should be interesting, whenever that is coming out.

DaveMoral - 5-29-2006 at 10:19 AM

I really liked this movie... though there were elements that kind of pissed me off... and I hope, if they were to make an X-Men 4(which they obviously left a door open for it), they will rectify with some sort of comic booky impossible out of nowhere weirdness that makes those things I'm not happy with to never have happened in the first place. I enjoyed it though, took my friend's 6 year old son. I'm kicking myself for not sitting through the credits... I'll have to go again... maybe later on today if my wife will let me.

If you wanna know whats after the credits just let me know and Ill U2U about it.

DaveMoral - 5-29-2006 at 10:50 PM

I went to see it again today... Not only did the pre-credit end leave me firmly believing that we haven't yet seen the last of the X-Men, so did the post-credit end.

Also, knowing X-Men, any other character that didn't survive the whole film could come back at any time... so many universes in the X-Universe it's rediculous.

joemaconmovies - 5-29-2006 at 11:45 PM

there will. be an x-men 4. it's already been said there will be. wolverine spinoff first. halle berry says she isn't coming back for 4 and won't play storm, so that makes me think 4 will suck even more, as they've already fucked up the good thing they had going with X2.

DaveMoral - 5-30-2006 at 06:00 PM

I don't know, I think Halle will be back eventually... she was really into Storm this time around since she got way more stuff to do.

A series of Wolverine spin-offs would be good, I love the runt but X-Men needs to be about the whole team and not just about him doing most of the shit that needs to get done... know what I mean? Cyke and Jean, Colossus and Storm, Beast and Angel, Iceman and Rogue... they're all important to the X-Men legacy and there have been some GREAT stories featuring those characters.

DaveMoral - 5-30-2006 at 06:01 PM

In fact, I want the Wolverine spin-off to be in Madripoor and I want people calling him Patch because he's wearing an eye patch... and some of the samurai shit from his comic past should be in it too. Maybe a whole thing about the Weapon X program....

Nerd alert!

crazyfists28 - 5-30-2006 at 06:30 PM

i'd like to see a good spawn movie, not that piece of shit from awhile back

halle has already stated that she wont' be returning. she said she's done with storm. personally...i wish they had done with her in this movie what they did in the others. she was lacking in x-men 1 and 2. but i didnt' mind as much because everything else was great. they're trying to cram too many mutants in there. god knows who else they'll add for #4.

DaveMoral - 5-31-2006 at 10:39 PM

Yeah, but how the hell can you have X-Men without Storm? She's like the only X-man that didn't leave the team for any significant period of time since she joined....

D'ya think they'd get into making some of the other X-Teams? X-Factor perhaps? X-Force??? Excalibur?

Murk - 5-31-2006 at 11:03 PM

saw it yesterday, thougt it was great.

a "theater" movie for sure.

no...not as well known as x-men. plus, many of those characters started off as x-men or became x-men. man...there are a lot of people i could say you couldn't have x-men with other then storm: angel, iceman, cyclops, jean grey, beast....and well, you know what happened to some of them. and they just introduced beast and angel. and iceman really just became an x-man in the movie. i mean...they could do without storm.

CR83 - 6-1-2006 at 02:11 PM

This is one series or one type of movie I would never enjoy. It just doesn't do it for me. My neighbor was bummed he couldn't see it on the first day it was released.

DaveMoral - 6-1-2006 at 06:15 PM

I could watch X-Men til the day I die... or at least until it gets too corny to be good anymore.

JawnDiablo - 6-1-2006 at 08:25 PM

i work with a guy who seen it 3 times already, just cause he has certain friends who end up seeing it and he follows.
i wouldnt mind seeing it again, now that the tyheatres are less crowded.
i just hate people being bunched in too close to me

DaveMoral - 6-1-2006 at 10:13 PM

Luckily both times I went wasn't too bad... first was up in North Jersey, the second was in Manayunk.

joemaconmovies - 6-2-2006 at 09:04 AM

same here, but i'm usually in the handicapped seats so they're away from people. can't stand people who talk during the movie though. drives me crazy. i'm probably gonna go see it again with my cousin and i will most likely get it on DVD...though i still think it ruined what the series had.

JawnDiablo - 6-2-2006 at 05:26 PM

i also sit in the seats away from peeps. the one i go to in king of prussia has them little sections of 2-3 seats by them selves. me and my son love grabbin them.

DaveMoral - 6-2-2006 at 06:34 PM

KoP theaters rule... I just don't like to drive out there....
