FUCKING IDIOT COPS

I got pulled over at 1:30 am last night without knowing why.
Apparently I failed to stop at a red. Set fine of $150 total $180 to pay.

OK?
3 Passengers in my car were sitting there just as confused as I was...

What happened:

Upon entry of the intersection, like, crossing the line, the light turned yellow, I could have easily completed the turn before it turned red, but some bitch pedestrian decided to disobey her signals and take a chance and run, well, slowly run, across the fucking street on the yellow before it changed to red, not even seeing me, thus causing me to have to nearly stop in the middle of the intersection, and further, the light turning red as I was waiting for her. The cop only seemed to see me sitting there when it went green for the other traffic going eastbound of which I was turning into ahead of (by the way my car was already facing the right direction like the turn was 95% completed...I wasn't blocking cars or anything, I was out of the intersection before any of the other cars began moving), and pulls me over. Moreover, if someone was to say "you should have been watching" well I must inform them that, shut the fuck up, because the bitch crossing the street, didn't come from the side she was crossing at, she was crossing the side ahead of me, going eastbound, then decided to cross again on the side I was turning across. There was know way I could have foresaw her doing that.

IM FUCKING PISSED.
See how bullshit, this bullshit shit is? Wow...
Fucking rookie cop.

If it was a legit ticket I wouldn't be so pissed off I would have been like, oh well I deserve it. Because I'm that kinda guy. But noo, something as INANE as this has to fuck up my driving career cuz I've only got my G2, its a second "offence" which will double my insurance, of which I can't afford really as it is.

Wonderful, I can't believe this shit.

At least he could have made it something like "failed to yeild for yellow" even though that wouldn't have been true either, it would have been a little closer to truth... but hardly.
He took about 15 minutes to write the ticket as well, he must've been reading a manual or some shit on what to do.
on top of everything else he spelt the name of my street wrong

Think I can win this?

a) Yes
b) No
c) Maybe (explain)
d) Tell them what you told us... (not exact words of course)

My friend beat a speeding ticket because the cop spelled his street name wrong. He went before the judge and said "hey, I don't live on the street he wrote down." It worked for him, you could try it. Either way, don't pay it outright. Fight it, you'll most likely be able to beat it, or at least plead to a lessar offence.

Go to court... unless you have a really bad driving record you will beat it.

pedestrians hhave the right of way.. well

yeah that is the frustrating part, because this case is different, she wasn't even on the side of the street that I was turning towards she was across the street so the way was completely clear for me, I've made a handy little amusing drawing, colour coded for time to show placement/actions and such.

the black is where it starts from and where she was as i started the turn and how the lights were... have a laugh.

thats still not a fail to stop at a red light, when it was green-turning yellow when I entered. you know... it should be a completely different offence if anything. Getting stopped in an intersection with circumstances out of your control leaving you in the tail end of a yellow to red light. Even though I wasn't impeding any traffic in any way. The cop was clearly not paying attention to the whole thing. If he was, hes a douche trying to earn some brownie points by giving out as much tickets as he can to get his promotion or raise.

hahaha.

but seriously, making a turn on a yellow is legal as long as its not a stale yellow and you know you can do it, unexpected circumstances that fuck your turn up that you could in no way have predicted is bullshit and furthermore being charged with going through a solid red when you didn't is just inane, i hate this shit. lol

most officers don't even make it to court if you decide to fight it. So it gets thrown out in most cases. However if you really pissed him off and he is working that day he will be there. Also if you have many points or tickets it will not look good. Most of the time if you fight it and spend on the lawyer you will get off. Thats what they do.

If he spelt the name of the street wrong, that might be enough. Just tell them you were never on that street and don't even know where it is.
