Leno to Host Carlin, Coulter on Wednesday

Tuesday June 13 3:44 AM ET

"Tonight" host Jay Leno might want to consider wearing referee stripes on Wednesday's show when Ann Coulter and George Carlin are his guests.

Coulter, the acid-tongued conservative with a new book out, and Carlin, the quick-witted, antiestablishment comedian who's in the voice cast for the new animated film "Cars," were booked at separate times for the NBC late-nighter, a spokeswoman said Monday.

But the duo's meeting could produce serious fireworks for "Tonight," which usually limits its political fodder to Leno's bipartisan monologue jokes.

Coulter, author of "Godless: The Church of Liberalism," has drawn fire for attacking the four New Jersey widows who pushed for an independent commission to investigate the Sept. 11 World Trade Center attacks in which their husbands died.

In her book, Coulter accuses the women of "reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much."

An appearance by Coulter on another NBC series, "Today," led to a prickly exchange with host Matt Lauer over her comments on the widows.

Also scheduled for "Tonight" Wednesday is Scottish singer and songwriter KT Tunstall

Why do people feed into her? She should not get the time of day from anyone.

She needs a good hate fucking. I'd do it if she kept her mouth shut, because she's not too bad on the eyes. She could gain a few pounds though.

In regards to controversial people, I was at my sister's this weekend (her and her husband are very religious) and my sister commented that she doesnt know why it's been raining so much. I said "Me either, but Im sure Pat Robertson has something to say about that" Apparently my brother-in-law watched the 700 Club pretty often, and he gave me a semi-dirty look when I called Pat Robertson a douche. Mrs. Moron had some words with me later about saying that. haha

Better watch out, Robertson is a machine! Leg pressing a ton and all.... :D

$100 says nothing much will happen...Jay Leno and his show are the most vanilla douche-infused shit on the planet. He'll cut to commercial if shit starts to get interesting.

Haha Robertson has set the precedent that calling for the assassination of a foreign leader is no longer a crime by calling for Hugo Chavez of Venezuela to be killed & nothing happened.

Ann Coulter is a delusional cunt.

just watched this. i had never heard her speak before...wow, she has an annoying voice!

i can honestly say it's not the side of the political spectrum that she's on that annoys me... it's her pompus fucking attitude. good god, get the fuck over yourself.

and interestingly, carlin kept his mouth shut the entire time, although obviously biting his tongue. she did take a few shots at him though.

Six66Mike - 6-15-2006 at 12:50 AM

Hahaha yeah she's got a fuckin cunt of an attitude on her & the voice could sterilize whole countries.
Hope this is online soon, wanna watch it some day.

clevohardcore - 6-15-2006 at 02:06 AM

I missed it. Damn. So you didn't see the interview where she said all wives of 9/11 were using it to get attention?

Agreed, while I don't agree with anything she says I could respect her if she was able to make an intelligent point but she really has nothing to say and a smug self-admiration that's just nauseating, someone needs to tell her that she's not nearly so clever as she thinks she is. She doesn't seem to be able to grasp that there could possibly any valid criticism of her ideas, only "liberal" conspiracies to attack her.
I was a disappointed that Carlin didn't call her on any of her nonsense, I sort of got the impression from his facial expressions that he had been told not to as he looked like he was holding himself back. The interview with Carlin was good though.

Carlin censored?????????!!!!!!!! By Leno????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the world will end in approximately 5 minutes, prepare yourselves.

BDx13 - 6-15-2006 at 11:49 AM

i don't know that he was censored, per se, but he definitely held his tongue at a few points. it made him look like the better person, in my opinion - less petty.

it was also interesting to see how much support ann got from the crowd. they mostly liked what they heard.
