thank you, sir.

God's Gonna Cut Down. Wow.
Can't bring myself to listen to Like The 309 yet. I think that one will have to wait.

For those of you who haven't seen it, go watch the video John did for Hurt:

wow, good stuff. 309 is the winner of the two but I like 'em both.

I love how dead people can still bring out new music. Hendrix has new cd's all the time, new Tupac & Biggie also have come out.

the video for Hurt is terrible. he looks so weak and lacks his will to live...

really? you didn't like that video? man, that may be my all-time favorite.

it's definitely tough to see him looking so tired and old, but that's what makes the video so great, and i think maximaizing his haggard look was definitely part of the point. to see this archival footage highlighting the successes and good times of his life, but also the challenges and shortcomings he's faced, while hearing him tell of his "empire of dirt", to me, is very powerful.

plus, with his wife dying less than a year after that video was released, i don't know how one can sit through the "my sweetest friend... everyone i know goes away in the end" scene with a dry eye.

Fucking Myspace. That fucking music player doesn't play on my work computer.
AHHHHHHHHHH

what i meant with terrible was what you stated, that its hard to see him like that, not that the video itself is bad

Hurt is a great video and track.... honestly, the NIN version of that song blows. I think Cash made most of the songs he covered better than the originals. Hurt definitely tugs at me heart.

That video for 'Hurt' had me sobbing the first time I saw it. First video to ever have that impact on me.

This stuff is awesome, thanks for the heads up. Listening to the new album now and every track is top quality, might just be my favourite of the "Americans recordings".
