Doing what you thought you would be five years ago?

XHonusWagnerX - 7-7-2006 at 02:33 PM

unfortunantly I think that I have to say YES to that. Of course its not what I want to do and I fucking hate it every single day!

godabandonedme - 7-7-2006 at 02:34 PM

No. I'm glad I got into what I'm doing now though.
I really make a difference........oh god that's funny.

I had no idea. I was just fucking around taking it for granted 5 years ago and quit my job then got a break. I was in a sales job and they wanted me to deceive customers. I stood up and told them to fuck off. I had been married for one month at the time.

I love what I do and my co-workers are amazing. It's a little freaky.

XHonusWagnerX - 7-7-2006 at 02:43 PM

wow... Im so jealous of you guys that like your jobs. I want to be in that same place SO bad!

godabandonedme - 7-7-2006 at 02:52 PM

Everyday I hate alot of the stuff I do and see but overall I like it.

Wow... i couldn't have said that better about myself.

been at pepsi since i was 19, thought it would be a good place to work my way up but unfortunately six years later i'm doing the same thing and have come to find out that they actually prefer hiring off of college campuses rather than from within. the only other people that get promoted are the ones that spend ALOT of time kissing ass and snuggling up to their bosses and that my friends, i will never do. so no, i'm not where i thought i'd like to have been

bystanderfanzine.com - 7-7-2006 at 05:17 PM

Yes and no, I wanted to own a building and I do. I have a job doing what i went to school for, so yeah i guess.

5 years ago I was still try to be in the music biz,

worked for a big booking agent, had a band with good managment, and opened for some bands that I would have never guessed I'd even get to see let alone meet

never wanted anymore kids or had any real professional direction....

then I started printing....
the rest is history,
haven't played a guitar in 2 years, have a 2 year old son, and moved the fuck outta texas....

life is best when unplanned and taken day by day, minute by minute....

cause the more you plan the more you get fucked in the end

Five years I didn't think I'd end up on disability with a wrecked back and neck, nor did I think I'd be back in school, so that would be a resounding no.

Five years ago I was still putting in 60 hrs+ a week as a McDonalds manager. Sucked ass.
