gavin - 7-27-2006 at 06:46 PM

youz hear these before?
i always like river runs red
i guess these were made before that album?
i dont know but i kinda dig it

MyOwnWay - 7-27-2006 at 06:52 PM

Those demos (especially stain remains demo) are the best thing LOA ever did.

gavin - 7-27-2006 at 06:55 PM

im listening to the depression demos
i think thats what they are called
ima look up the other ones now

JawnDiablo - 7-27-2006 at 06:56 PM

i have these both the stain remains and the other older one on cassettes from before river came out. a friend of mine from back then grew up in the same neaighborhood as them or some shit and had them.
problem is, i cant fuckin listen to them because i dont have a working cassete player any more, i would like to have them on CD. that thing they put out a few years ago of the rarities from 89-98 or whatever really want all that satisfying. i want it all on cd . anyone?

MyOwnWay - 7-27-2006 at 06:57 PM

Depression demos are alright.

Best song in my opinion is 'those who hate me'.

"Get out of my way. You're so fucking dense. I cant talk to you, you make no sence".

gavin - 7-27-2006 at 06:57 PM

im downloading it now
ill burn them for ya
sounds kinda like early sheer terror but not as good

JawnDiablo - 7-27-2006 at 07:05 PM

awesome. when you get em send me a message. i still have some stuff ive been slackin on to send over to ya....

crazyfists28 - 7-27-2006 at 08:25 PM

i'd love to get the originals someday for the collection but yeah, the old stuff was very sheer terror influenced until keith changed his vocal style. still my favorite band

Discipline - 7-27-2006 at 09:05 PM

The old LOA shit rules. I love all their stuff except for one album, but the old stuff is fucking incredible.

The Biohazard and Carnivore demos were amazing. They have long been lost, but I remember how goo they were.

Biohazard had this song Lying Coke Bitch that was really cool.

JawnDiablo - 7-28-2006 at 05:30 AM

i have some biohazard footage from when they were pretty young and only had the demo out. ha they playes a grand funk railroad cover. i still love that first record they did. all the stuff after urban discipline kinda lost me though, although that one cd they did a few years ago, forget the title, was heavy as shit.

I'll have to look for em
they're either in my shitpacked away, being i don't even own a cassette player, or stashed in a box in my mom's basement with tons of other crap I have.
I'lllet ya knowwhen i dig this shit out if i get over there anytimes soon.

them demos are 10 times better than the crap they did later on....

Jason the Magnificent - 2-21-2008 at 10:35 PM

LOA's best work....River Runs Red should be called River Runs Boring. Although their commercial album Broken Valley is one of the best rock albums in the past decade.

ok just let me know...stuff is worth preserving in the best quality possible...the mp3s are ok, but personally i preffer lossless...and i love fixing old recordings, so this would be a cool proyect to do. i also make artwork for cds, so i can make a booklet and even print you a copy on a printable cd..

i totally agree...i've liked pretty much everything LOA has brought out, but broken valley really blows in my opinion...i kinda felt they were going downhill when their live cd/dvd came out, which is kind of ironic seeying that it was their big comeback. ...i kept thinking: what happenned to keith's voice? and i still do. something got lost there.

just for collecting sake, i recorded an FM show back in 98 with whitfield crane (dynamo open air) i can pass u that if u want.
