Blacklisted breakup and immediate reformation. Ploy?

what do ya think? was this a legit break up, then immediate change of heart? or a ploy from the beginning? or perhaps just an internet rumor that got out of hand?

Philladelphia's Blacklisted have confirmed, honest and truely, that they are not breaking up and anyone who suggests otherwise is a dirty, dirty liar. The latest Deathwish newsletter had the statement:

Anyone that has been following the Blacklisted rumor mill has probably heard every thing under the sun regarding this band. To clear things up I would first like to say, thank you to anyone who has showed any interest and emailed, messaged or otherwise got in touch with us, giving kind words to stay together.

Our experience at Sound And Fury alone was enough to make us re-evaluate our decision, one of the most intense experiences we have ever had as a band.

With that said, Blacklisted is still a band. We will be touring the United states all of September. October we will be going to Europe with Rise And Fall and in November we will be doing around a week or so with a band that says there are No Heroes. [Converge]

The band previously released ...The Beat Goes On.

Would the ploy be good? I mean, they were at the height of their popularity...

It sounds suspicious to me, but what do I know.

Maybe I'm just too cynical, but it looks like a really cheap grab for attention. Yet another band that I never saw the appeal of and this certainly won't change my mind.
