saw VOD on Sunday night

never was really a fan of them mostly because I heard the s/t album and hate the production. They were heavy as shit live though and I enjoyed them. The singer gave me a weird feeling though. After the first song (there was a huge pile on/sing along) he told the crowd not to come on stage, and he kept on telling the crowd to "make some fucking noise!!!". Then at the end of the show he started a "VOD VOD VOD!!!" chant. The crowd had been chanting it earlier in the night, but it seems cheesy for a band member to start a chant like that.

They recorded the show for a live cd/dvd.

Candiria played too, and they were kinda boring. Their new stuff is kinda weak.

That was my first show in quite some time. I almost didnt go, but I met up with friends so it was cool.

That is precisely why VOD really were fake. Yes they did kick ass but they were not really hardcore. Hardcore a jacket they wore.

And Candiria yes. They do suck now. The last record was not good and the new stuff is just the same rehashed shit.

Good guys but that's completely true, they were never a hardcore band and never really claimed it, they were awesome when they started.

I was never too into VOD..... I remember breaking out of a show of their's in Portland after Buried Alive and Skarhead finished up... I just really didn't want to hear it.

They had broken up, and this was a reunion tour. I think Sunday's show was their last show ever... or so they say.

I saw them I think 3 times when they were jsut getting started and then released the ST record. They were awsome live though. Without question until that tour with BADBRAINS and CANDIRIA. VOD blew chunks.

is the new stuff like the last album, that was more straight foward, as opposed to all the weird time changes on past albums. their guitar player that left is recording with them for the new album i think....
