I've been somewhat on a pumk binge lately. Does anyone have any good suggestions for Oi bands for me to check out? Prefereably stuff thats fairly easy to find.

Most of these are classics that you've probably heard of but if you haven't you should check them out.

Cockney Rejects
Cocksparrer
Condemned 84
The Business
Angelic Upstarts
Clockwork Crew (Swedish band that might be a bit hard to find but they're worth it)
Sham 69
The 4-Skins
Blitz

Oi!Polloi!
The Ejected
The Toy Dolls
The Strike (hard to find, but great band)
One Way System (seriously underrated band)
Youth Defense League

oh shit how could I forget Slaughter and the Dogs (sketchy but I'm gonna call them Oi! for our purposes hear)

If you want to get a full spectrum view of the genre, I'd also suggest listen to early Slade, The Who, The Jam and even early Iron Maiden (Dianno).

upyerbum - 9-5-2006 at 11:01 AM

Oh yeah, Blitz, The Violators, Major Accident, The Addicts.

And I'm also gonna take some leeway with The Macc Lads, you should just listen to them anyway.

Patriot
Stormwatch
The Trouble
Pist N Broke
Steelcap
Badlands.

If you want a good selection of good oi bands check out some of the compilations available from Captain Oi! records. They have all of the original oi comps for sale. One that I really like is called 100% British oi! It's a double cd with most of the original oi bands.
