Mastodon played well, but the sound fucking SUCKED! Drums were way too loud, vocals would come and go and you could barely hear the guitars. Just
when the sound started to get better for a few songs the next song was terrible again. They came out and played Hearts Alive for an encore so that
made up for it a bit. Not that the sound was their fault. They played alot from Blood Mountain and what I could hear sounded good.
Converge didnt play anything older that their Jane Doe stuff, but it was actually fine. They were fucking great and the place went nuts for them. I
hadnt seen them in about 3-4 years and they were better than what I remember.BDx13 - 9-11-2006 at 01:33 PM

oh, i know it. used to be the ritz (where many legendary nyhc shows took place) years ago.
now it's mostly filled with dudes who look like they just came from the set of 'growing up gotti'.moron - 9-11-2006 at 07:21 PM
It's a nice looking place, and the sound was alright when it wasnt turned up to 11. Definitely doesnt look like the kind of place where hardcore
shows would be played now. The show actually ended pretty early... maybe 10:30... and there were chicks lined up outside as we were leaving waiting
to get into the place. I assume it turns into a night club.moron - 9-11-2006 at 07:22 PM
