Voodoobillyman - 9-22-2006 at 11:38 AM

In your opinion, what is it?

Mine for strictly personal reasons, is Blood for Blood "Revenge on Society"

JawnDiablo - 9-22-2006 at 11:46 AM

sheer terror: just cant hate enough

XHonusWagnerX - 9-22-2006 at 11:52 AM

WOW... this is a REALLY Hard question to answer! I dont know if I can just pick one. Here are some that I would consider, but like voodoo said, it really is all a matter of personal opinion...

12"
Slapshot - Back on the Map
Negative FX - Negative FX
Bad Brains - Black Dots
Poison Idea - Pick Your King

7"
Negative Approach - Negative Approach
Last Rights - Chunks
Beastie Boys - Pollywog Stew

If you can count 'Collections' or 'Greatest Hits' I would go with...

Bad Brains - Greatest Riffs
Black Flag - Everything Went Black

clevohardcore - 9-22-2006 at 12:13 PM

SICK OF IT ALL. BLOOD SWEAT AND NO TEARS

I can't believe I'm the only one that listed DOA.

For shame!

CR83 - 9-22-2006 at 09:28 PM

Shit man, how can I decide. Here's my list

1. Urban Discipline
2. Scratch The Surface
3. Revenge on Society
4. Hold It Down
5. Lowest Of The Low- That's right, I listed a Terror album

upyerbum - 9-22-2006 at 10:30 PM

The Angry Samoans - Back From Samoa (I don't know about greatest, but its great)

DaveMoral - 9-22-2006 at 10:36 PM

I'm going to say BFB - Revenge on Society and Ramallah - But A Whimper(I would say Kill A Celebrity, but I'm not sure just how much that qualifies as hardcore)... this shit is very cathartic for me. I was pretty distressed the past few days regarding the topic of Islam and the opinions of alot of people in this world about the religion and those of us who adhere. Helped me get some shit out yesterday on the way home from work.

Madball- Demonstrating My Style
AF - Something's Gotta Give(first AF record I ever bought and love it to this day)
Vegan Reich - Vanguard(for the impact that shit ultimately had on how I live my life)
All Out War - For Those Who Were Crucified(Always liked the first tracked "I reject your values, I have my own faith, I have no trust in the human race" is still a line that I really really really feel on a daily basis.)

How old are you Beaner?

beaner - 9-25-2006 at 03:04 PM

im 29, but im from the uk so i dont get to hear about some of the 'original' hardcore bands. just the stuff that gets released over here (that was until i got on-line).

why, if you dont mind me asking?

It just struck me that some of your older choices were not so old. I figured you were a youngin, but being overseas explains it.

crazyfists28 - 9-25-2006 at 07:30 PM

my personal favorite is bfb's spit my last breath, nothing else besides life of agonys rrr was as personal to me as this album was. i think this is all open for debate and how a particular album affected your own life

JawnDiablo - 9-25-2006 at 07:56 PM

ok looks like everyone else gave more than one so....
Sheer Terror: Just Can't Hate Enough
Black Flag: Damaged
Bad Brains;S/T
Agnostic Front: Victim In Pain
Life of Agony: The Stain Remains Demo
Neglect: 91 demo

some may disagree with the last 2 but they were some damn fine recordings

Gooch - 9-26-2006 at 10:29 AM

Youth of Today- Breakdown the Walls

panzerkreuzer - 9-26-2006 at 10:57 AM
