No helmet tonight but the show was amazing!! I was right in front of the stage in front od Dr. Know for the whole set until Pay to Cum when I stage dove!

Yes I'm 32 and I stage dove! It was fucking bad brains @ cbgbs! I had to!!

I got your shirt duane!

CR83 - 10-11-2006 at 08:50 AM

I just don't get it. What am I missing about this band? So many people just think they are the greatest and I get nothing from them. Oh wel...

BDx13 - 10-11-2006 at 11:01 AM

Monday's show was not so great. 15 seconds into the first song and they stopped cause the crowd was going ape shit. "H is gonna go in the back if you don't take it easy! H isn't into all that violence!" HR insisted on using this wireless mic for the first third of the show and it barely worked. it was like bad brains karaoke. second two thirds were better, but hr was still singing waay too slow and it was kinda fucking everyone else up. musically though, they were tight and fast and killed it. all that said, it was a proper bad brains show, so i'll take whatever i can get. never know if you'll get another one. oh, and i taped the whole thing, so i'll upload clips eventually.

Dave - 10-11-2006 at 11:47 AM

DO IT SOON DUANE!!!!!!!!!

so jealous:mad:

thank you. I feel the same way. So many of my friends are all about this band and I don't know why. Oh well, a matter of opinion I guess.

Exactly it is a matter of opinion, thats why there are so many bands out there!

last night was one of the greatest shows Ive ever seen. I was SO happy I was there! HR was good, the band was awesome, the song selection was great!

I spent the whole show right in front of Dr.Know at the stage and it ruled! I watched the set list and actually stage dove during the last song (which I havent done in years).

Harley Flanagan was there and acting as an additional security guard on the stage too.

BDx13 - 10-11-2006 at 12:53 PM

any other interesting characters in attendance.
i saw MCA of the Beastie Boys and someone who i swear was Ellija Woods.
apparently Paulina Porizkova was there, too, which means Rick Ocasek probably was also.

Oddly ebough, Harley was the only one I saw but I thought I would see LOTS more... like MCA for example!

It's just your stunted growth in the hardcore scene... don't know the roots, I guess.

tireironsaint - 10-11-2006 at 10:43 PM

I know I shit all over a lotta bands a lotta you guys think are great, but I can't believe anybody could not like Bad Brains unless it's just the reggae shit or their later albums.

newbreedbrian - 10-11-2006 at 11:49 PM

to each his own but i feel the same way. at their peak, they were a fucking force to be reckoned with. i would kill to have seen them back then.

Nah faggot like I said, its a matter of opinion. As far as roots, I was more into AF, Minior Threat, Leeway, Warzone, Judge, and Youth of Today. Bad Brains never did for me, so be it. Now please fuck off.

upyerbum - 10-12-2006 at 11:56 AM

I loved "I against I", I even like "Rise". Like it all. I can relate to people who don't get into them though, it took me awhile, actually it was "I Against I" that turned me onto them.
