LOL, fuck!

I love his well groomed eyebrows.

BTW, I am so out of the loop that I had no idea Earth Crisis wasn't still doing shit.

XHonusWagnerX - 10-12-2006 at 10:40 AM

Thats really weird... me and my friend Jay that went to Bad Brains were just talking about how Earth Crisis should do a reunion while we were driving home from NYC!

We also talked about how JUDGE should get together so lets hope that comes true next!

CR83 - 10-12-2006 at 10:46 AM

Yeah, this dude would be one pretty bitch if he didn't have that shit all over his head.

newbreedbrian - 10-12-2006 at 11:48 AM

while i'm sure boy george there is excited, who fucking cares? earth crisis sucked. they were the farthest thing from a hardcore band. they were the final nail in the coffin. the fact that douchebag kids consider them an old school hardcore band now just makes me laugh. i'd like to go just so i could pelt them with rotten meat.

Discipline - 10-12-2006 at 12:18 PM

I liked their early stuff like Destroy the Machines, but I could care less that they're getting back together. That whole show looks like shit for the most part.

That dude with EC tattoo's needs a seious beating.

GabeTexasGAMC - 10-12-2006 at 01:33 PM

eh, they're allrite.
seen then, wasnt too inpressed.
had fun being drunk too.

BKT - 10-12-2006 at 02:14 PM

I saw them a bunch of times in Detroit. One time they played with Skarhead, Madball and Hatebreed and Boston Mike beat the shit out of some SE fruit that was pissed off because Boston Mike was killing people on the floor. hahahaha it was one of the best things I have ever seen at a hardcore show. Still to this day want to know why the hell Earth Crisis and Skarhead were on the same bill.

Top 3 reasons that I hate hardcore.

BKT - 10-12-2006 at 02:20 PM

Well what the hell else do you expect to happen at a Hatebreed, Madball, Skarhead show in Detroit. You dance hard to those bands, thats what they are all about.

I expect to see a few bands without fearing for life and limb. Don't feed me any of this "hardcore aint supposed to be safe" crap either, it's knuckleheaded bullshit adopted by knuckleheads to further justify their being fuckin knuckleheads. I think it's funny how you always here about these "tough guys" beatin on kids or "fruits" at shows and if they encounter someone who poses an actual threat they gang up on said threat with as many as they can. I'm no tough guy, and would have my ass handed to me by most of these thugs, but that dosen't make them cool or respectable in my book. fuck em all in the eye and fall off the face of the earth.

Reasons 4 & 5 why I hate hardcore.

BKT - 10-12-2006 at 02:42 PM

Point taken. However, in my show days I danced hard at shows because I was into that shit then. I got hit hard, and fucked up lots of times, but I liked that shit as well. It all just came with the territory I guess. No matter now I can't be bothered to go to shows anymore, rather stay at the gym or some club with hot assed chics and all my friends around.

Its totally cool that you danced hard because you were into it and that you actually liked getting hit hard and occasionally fucked up. The problem is that not everyone else does/did. I like to be able to stand with in 100 feet of the stage and not have to worry that Im going to get sucker punched because Im wearing a shirt of a band that someone else doesnt like or because Im not 'HARD ENOUGH!'.

It may be a sad fact that it 'comes with the territory' but it really shouldnt have to....

clevohardcore - 10-12-2006 at 02:54 PM

EARTH CRISIS kicked ass.

Everyone that talks the shit used to jam out FIRESTORM on the turntable. We know the score.

BKT - 10-12-2006 at 02:58 PM

Got ya, but to hell with sucker punching anyone and I never really cared what the hell someone else was wearing. It was the music, when the breakdonw from Prepare For War by Hatebreed came donw and there was like 30 mother fuckers just tearing shit up I was there in the middle in heaven. That was what hardcore was for me, madness, chaos, violence and how the brutality of the music just made you snap. On the other hand if I was at an H2O show I just chilled and watched the band, because there music is not about all that other shit.

no i didnt

CR83 - 10-12-2006 at 04:24 PM

As I look at my music library I see severl EC albums. I have no idea why. I'm not SXE, vegan or whatever. I LOVED their live album though. Still listen to it at least once a month.

I too saw them on the Skarhead/Hatebreed/Madball tour. It was one of thebest nights of my life. At the end of the show all the bands came out so EC could play Firestorm. jasta got the whole thing going. It was an awesome vibe.

Fuck it, I'm turning EC the rest of the day in the office.

P.S. The EC above is a total fuck face.

CR83 - 10-12-2006 at 04:26 PM

ooh, as a follow up. I only understand about 3% of the lyrics when listening. Even when follow along in the liner notes.

not a chance in hell. i've hated them since they started

Gooch - 10-12-2006 at 04:46 PM

I liked the first 2 7"s and saw them a bunch in 93-94, but I gave up after Destroy the Machines came out. I was sort of losing interest in them, but was still semi-excited for that Lp to come out. Bought it, listened to it once, never listened again. Sucked. Don't think I heard any of their stuff after that.
I still rock the 7"s once or twice a year, but that's about it.

Not that I care, but I thought I read that they are playing New Years Day as well.

I can't believe they haven't played in 5 years. I thought they just broke up recently.

upyerbum - 10-12-2006 at 07:57 PM

I have never even listened to them, I couldn't even name a song.
I'm sure I wouldn't like them for the same reasons I can't stand Chaos UK.

As for the pit, I've always been a "if you can't stand the heat, stay outta' the kitchen" kinda' guy. But i'm not into assholes fuckin' people up either, elbows down, if someone hits the floor pick them the fuck up, and such and such.....thats why the circle pit was so great, you could go nuckin futs without too much worry of takin someone out.

Keep your stick on the ice.

crazyfists28 - 10-12-2006 at 08:06 PM

all this is supposed to be fun, yes, let out some aggression but have fun. enjoy the music, help someone up, whatever. those who are just out to pick fights can lick an ass for all i care. go join a gym and box someone.

sippers - 10-12-2006 at 08:14 PM

i still love the fact i had a sing along on firestorm being drunk and stoned beyond belief..a firestorm to purify ha ha ha ha

Discipline - 10-12-2006 at 08:29 PM

I like to watch for people throwing cheap shots. I often take it upon myself to knock them on their asses. One look at me usually stops them from trying any bullshit.

crazyfists28 - 10-12-2006 at 08:34 PM

...and that my friend is what even's the score for the little guy...and i appreciate that sort of stuff

XnMeX - 10-13-2006 at 06:33 AM

EC has always sounded like a chicken going "Bocckkkk bock bock bockkkkk" over and over.

Lyrics:

BBBBBOOOOOOOOOCCCCKKKKK! Bock bock bock bock bock bbooooccckk! Broken foundation bock bock bock bock bock BOOOOCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!1111

Six66Mike - 10-13-2006 at 08:00 AM

Haha it was only as matter of time, every other band from the 90's is doing it so why the fuck not. Atleast EXC is 100000 times better than that Freya shit Karl was doing.

Sworn Enemy, Shipwreck, Subzero & Down To Nothing make this show sweet.

And the Belgian dude is definately gonna be siked for this haha.

He's even got new tats now & eyebrows!

JawnDiablo - 10-13-2006 at 08:37 AM

I'm sorry but I'd have to be on drugs to go and tattoo a bands name on my face......

Boy George if he was vegan straight edge

Clevo, I'm with you. There was a reason for militant vegan music in that era..... dudes were getting shit on for their beliefs. That tends to provoke a reaction, this one was musical.

The story was the same with Vegan Reich, Statement, Raid, and Hardball. Those were the pioneers of the vegan hardcore genre.

upyerbum - 10-13-2006 at 07:48 PM

actually it was all Crass's fault, them and Flux of Pink Indians. (and Chumbwumba back in the day, actually).

DaveMoral - 10-13-2006 at 07:51 PM

I think Firestorm is one of the most, if not the most, misunderstood songs in hardcore. It's not about just fucking up people who use drugs or drink, not at all. It's about cleaning up the streets of crack dealers and the like... noble sentiment I think. Most neighborhoods would appreciate that attitude.

upyerbum - 10-13-2006 at 07:55 PM

We used to jump pimps and now its a word people use with pride.
I don't know why I ever stopped jumping pimps.......

DaveMoral - 10-13-2006 at 08:35 PM

I agree uyb, jump pimps and take their money. It's a good way to get a little extra cash AND if you beat 'em severe enough you could get a dangerous woman abuser off the streets.

That's true, but I don't call that "hardcore" in the sense that vegan hardcore has become a genre all it's own really that appeals, for the most part, only to other vegans.

Most punks listen to Crass, Conflict and Flux of Pink Indians... and Rudimentary Peni... and never bother to concieve of what they're saying. Some do... but let's face it, most don't care about the vegetarian aspect of their message.

upyerbum - 10-13-2006 at 08:38 PM

We didn't do it for the money. There used to be slave trade between here and Toronto.

DaveMoral - 10-13-2006 at 08:45 PM

Yeah, plus the righteousness of the deed obviously.... taking the money is just the spoils of war.

upyerbum - 10-13-2006 at 08:49 PM

don't get me wrong, we took their money, and whatever other goodies they might have.
but there was some bad shit goin on and the dirty little kids on the street seemed to be the only ones who gave a fuck, cops included (no disrespect to the officers on here, it was a time and place).

DaveMoral - 10-14-2006 at 12:35 PM

No, I understand. I completely understand. Wish people were doing that today...
