Last Day

Voodoobillyman - 10-13-2006 at 09:28 AM

If today were your last day to live, how would you spend it?

I would be home with my wife and baby, trying my hardest to play and laugh and love with them. I often think of life without them or their lives without me and it is real hard. Just feeling good to be alive right now and not wanting to take anything for granted. I hope you all have an awesome day today! Do something fun for yourselves and your loved ones:)

I'd get drunk and try every drug I've never done before and fuck as many woman as possible all while listening to my favorite records.

I'd also give my kitties a kiss goodbye.

I am with voodoo's first statement
what made you ask this?
I thought this recently after watching some movie. Like basically if I knew the end was near, what I would do. I hardly get enough time with my kid in my situation as it is....

same to you.

as far as how i would spend my last day, not really sure.
since i dont have children yet,
i'll just say i would have a huge party with all my
friends and family. And i would put the whole thing on my credit card,
since i would not be aroung to pay it.

Theres an e-mail going around in military circles about a commercial airplane that came in recently and unbeknownst to the passengers, it was carrying a fallen Marine home. Another Marine was onboard the plane who had the honor of escorting his comrade home to his family. As the plane pulled in the Captain announced that the Marine was onboard and what his duty was, he asked all passengers to remain seated until the Marine had gotten off the plane and had brought his comrade off. Once the plane stopped, as passenegrs peered out the windows a contigent of Marines climbed into the cargo hold and draped our Nations flag over the casket. The family had gathered on the tarmac to receive the remains of their loved one. The Marine who was onboard saluted his comrade as they removed his casket from the cargo hold and then presented the family with the flag he had brought back from Iraq. This leads one to question ones mortality when faced with a reality like this and thats where this e-mail came from. Sorry for the long explanation but I felt like sharing this with you guys. Next time you see someone in uniform, please thank them, shake their hand, buy them a drink or treat them to dinner, it's the little things ya know?

One of my close friends is in the USMC and left for Iraq about a month ago. I haven't been able to stop thinking of him since.

This is a cool thread and a question that has passed through my mind many times. All I can say is that I have lived a crazy life and been given the opportunity to do a lot of things that not many people can say they have done. I have been in so many situations that I should never have made it out of alive, and gotten away with a lot of shit that I just chalk up to good luck and circumstance. I think I would spend my last day just chilling with my friends and family, they know I love them because I tell them every chance I get. I know how valuable life is and how fast it can be gone, thats why I am here to have fun.

Wife and daughter. Then I'd jump from about 15000 with no chute. Maybe take a few people out on the way to the airport.
