If you could pick one band...

Discipline - 10-22-2006 at 03:12 AM

What band do you wish was still together or had released more material? I have two. I truly wish Negative Approach had released more. But in the end, I have spent most of the last two nights watching Sheer Terror live shows and I wish they had released 20 albums. I love ST more than words can describe. Two of my tattoo's come from ST and I still plan on getting one more, a big ass version of the ST bulldog on my back. To me, Sheer Terror could do no wrong.

Skarhead coulda brought out more.

I wish that we could've had another classic GB record.

upyerbum - 10-22-2006 at 08:55 AM

I really wish Black Market Babies had put out more.

I agree with Discipline,Sheer Terror is,was and will always be one of the best bands to ever step onto a stage....they could have done so much more...NOBODY sounds like sheer terror, true originals...I love everything they ever released and still listen to them on a regular basis.

For me it would be Fahrenheit 451. The vocal style, the realness with a positive context in the lyrics, the music wasnt typical Hardcore but a true musician approach. They were different and didnt fit the mold of the "typical" NYHC band. They were doing something different and it worked. I loved it. I was and still am a huge fan. I was blessed to have released their discography earlier this year, but there is still a very large part of me that misses what they had started.

I'd like to spend more money on ST stuff, I can just never find any. My dream would be to own everything on the cover of Drop Dead and Go To Hell.

Spoiler - 10-22-2006 at 04:00 PM

all I need to complete my ST vinyl collection is Just Can't Hate Enough (starving Missle) on Red vinyl.

Discipline - 10-22-2006 at 04:12 PM

I need a helluva lot more than that. Got doubles of anything you might sell?

Spoiler - 10-22-2006 at 07:04 PM

I have an extra copy of a Thanks fer nuthin LP if you need that (someone on here was supposed to buy it along with a couple of b4b records, but never sent the money and quit replying to my U2U's)....this copy has some edge wear and does not have the poster, but the vinyl is clean.I'm not sure what these are selling for anymore, but you can make me an offer if your interested.

CR83 - 10-23-2006 at 06:57 AM

NEW ALBUIM 2007.

I really don't know, sooo many of the bands I listed to aren't around anymore and I love them all... but I would have to say, RYKERS, not that they released more material, well maybe one more album, but that I had a chance to see them.

BKT - 10-23-2006 at 11:02 AM

Guns N Roses. And I say that because other than the first reccord their other stuff was crap in comparssion. Destruction was dirty rock n roll about drugs, booze and sluts. 100% anthems for any night of chaos, once that was done it was all 20 minute ballads and bullshit theme albums. I just wish they had stayed on the same track and all oded before they got so famous and lame.

MM.

just 2 is hard to select, but I would say CroMags and Sheer Terror.

Got that one, but thanks fer the offer.

This is always a tough question because you have to look at where the band was at the time they broke up. Yes, another Minor Threat record would be nice, but the last 7" isn't too hot. Of couse, Salad Days the song is awesome, but the other 2 are mediocre at best. Would you want a whole record worth of that?

GB, maybe? They were a total scab line up the last year or so they were together and seeing how things were changing in 1991, it would be curious what type of sound they would have gone with. I think we are better off with them finally breaking up, having Quicksand become a full time band and then coming back with the CIV record a few years later. I think the CIV Lp is definitely better than anything GB would have done in their later days.

My choice. INSIDE OUT Lp. And only if they had done it before Vic left. They already had a Lps worth of material ready, don't know why it didn't happen. Maybe because Vic quit? I know they played for another year without him, but as we know, they never went back into the studio. It sucks because the live versions of all those unreleased songs are awesome.

Straight Ahead- Spirit of Youth is too short. I need more!!!

Antidote- I know they put out another record years later with different members, but a Lp or another 7" recorded in 83-84 would have been sick.

Altercation- that demo is so underrated.

Absolution- I don't really need more stuff, just a quality recording of their existing material.
