Does anyone like this band. I know it's pop punk, but god dammit I love this band. Cheezy catchy leads and all.

Great band. Not pop at all.

Major Label Debut is amazing & so is pretty much everything else they have done. I got a massive Screeching Weasel collection on LP & CD.

JawnDiablo - 10-24-2006 at 10:48 PM

they still around?

godabandonedme - 10-25-2006 at 02:55 AM

Again awsome band, same with Pinhead Gunpowder, which now anyone would consider a Green Day rip off or "pop" punk cause they never heard of them until other "punk" bands where cool.

JawnDiablo - 10-25-2006 at 05:57 AM

i had a split they did with born against
sold it

Jughead is in Even in Blackouts now, http://www.myspace.com/eveninblackouts

never saw Screeching Weasel but EiB are great live, seen 'em 3 times and they're back here again in a few weeks.

The RIVERDALES rocked too!

I just got a copy of the Screeching Weasel 'Ramones Tribute' CD for free from a friend... Sweet score!

They are ok. I have some of their CD's and many of my friends liked this band a lot. I guess much like Blink 182 I out grew them. None the less still a good band.

MM.

I haven't heard this band in years... on a similar note, I always favored the Queers. Basically different guys playing the same tunes, but they were all cool. The Queers had a tune about Ben Weasel... went "Ben Weasel, he's an asshole. Ben Weasel, he's a jerk."

Their split with born against was pretty awesome, I think they agreed ahead of time that each band would write the lyrics for the other but keep their own music, I can't imagine two funnier bands to make such an agreement.
