beaner - 11-8-2006 at 01:44 PM

golfs are nice. sometimes a little bit boy racer-ish but all in all a good motor.
i used to have an older golf and dropped a G60 engine in it but it was a little scary.

Dave - 11-8-2006 at 01:53 PM

can't tint the front windows, thats a no no up here.

moron - 11-8-2006 at 02:07 PM

I always wanted a Golf, but my stepfather kept talking me out of buying one saying they tend to have lots of problems after 80k or so. I still love the way they look though.

clevohardcore - 11-8-2006 at 02:11 PM

sweet car.

clevohardcore - 11-8-2006 at 02:12 PM

how much for the 98 Honda?

Dave - 11-8-2006 at 02:33 PM

looking to get around $6000 CDN give or take.

BDx13 - 11-8-2006 at 02:52 PM

nice. how many miles does it have?
i loved my 2000 jetta, but it had it's fair share of problems with the electronics.
lemme know how it holds up.

Dave - 11-8-2006 at 03:06 PM

the golf has 111,000 km's on it. (roughy 69,000 miles).

moforn - 11-8-2006 at 10:24 PM

congrats Dave, this was was the one you told me about yesterday? Once I get a proper garage we'll get a vr6 into it;)

Nice! although I've been told the chargers on those are timebombs- how did it hold up for you? I was talking to a guy a while ago (who coincidently lived in Dave's old apt. building) who had a g60 equipped golf that had gone through 2 or 3 g-laders in a pretty short time.

godabandonedme - 11-9-2006 at 02:00 AM

I have a gti 1.8T 04' and like it. Although it's a paperweight right now cause I need a clutch and rear braker rotors. Oh and the water pump went at 40k which is stupid. Still like it though.

XHonusWagnerX - 11-9-2006 at 09:03 AM

Nice car. I almost bought a Golf before I bought the Jetta I had. Congrats!!

So thats about 1000,000 miles? I would be interested but the miles are kind of high for that amouont of money. I am looking for a car like that though.

Dave - 11-9-2006 at 03:41 PM

clevohardcore - 11-9-2006 at 03:43 PM

Voodoobillyman - 11-9-2006 at 04:08 PM

My wife has a red 99 Wolfsburg edition, she loves it.

Voodoobillyman - 11-9-2006 at 04:08 PM

clevohardcore - 11-9-2006 at 04:52 PM

Dave - 11-9-2006 at 10:59 PM

if it's not a 5pd, your really not driving, your just along for the ride.

BKT - 11-10-2006 at 03:52 PM

Nice ride. VW are great cars. A few of my friends have VW and they love those things like family.
