Terror Threats and the holidays

CR83 - 12-22-2006 at 12:31 PM

I think it is a sad thing that we have to worry about Terror Threats. It is a common thing to hear, "Well, the holidays are coming up, a perfect time for Terrorist to fuck things up big time."

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16322450/

This story is scary as well.

all those tunnels have ALWAYS made me nervous. sitting in traffic in the holland is the worst.

I know I'm putting my foot in my mouth bigtime by saying this because I know there's a population of Thorpsters with kids, but it's shit like this that makes me want to have children less and less.

I don't like how these news people keep putting out "Hey we would be absolutely fucked if you attacked us here, RIGHT HERE, I'll draw you a map" articles. Seems a little counterproductive.

clevohardcore - 12-23-2006 at 12:24 AM

the draft thing is bothering me.

JawnDiablo - 12-23-2006 at 02:19 AM

noone ever mentions how many refinerys philly has and how it should be a danger zone for cyco towel heads with bombs blowin shit up

scary indeed,.... but releasing terror threats once and a while also helps to "sell the war",... especially as the Bush camp is on the loosing side.

haha I never understood this. And it happens all the bloody time.

"Nations railways lack security"

"Nuclear plants open to attack"

"Our schools have no security, terrorists could kill kids"

Why bother reporting shit like this except to promote another attack and draw the X on the map.

Definately true, when there's bad news or polls are in the shitter, raise a terror alert and scare people, which also happens every time there is a public holiday.

I would just like to say you should not always listen to the news and take it at face value. Also, the draft thing...............you have nothing to worry about, there will never be another draft in this country unless we are faced with a war so large the conscripted forces cannot handle it. The whole geopolitical climate of our globe has changed so much, there will never be another war like WWII, it's impossible given how much we as a race of beings and our systems have changed.
