Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Favorite New Band

Siczine.com - 1-7-2007 at 03:40 AM

from 2006? I would say Pulling Teeth. So fucking good. If you like Haymaker and Integrity you'd love em.

Discipline - 1-7-2007 at 06:03 AM

Wisdom In Chains

clevohardcore - 1-7-2007 at 08:08 PM

WIS has been around though. If you ment you got into them in '06' then thats cool. My bad.

I have no new band for '06'. Seriously new shit just sucks too much. I hardly go to shows anymore and the scene sucks a fat one anymore. Too many young kids without the true mentality. I spend my time thinking of "what was" and not "what can be" anymore.

clevohardcore - 1-7-2007 at 08:10 PM

I was jamming the new DEAD HEARTS for about a month but realized it really was boring as staring at a wall. The lyrics were ok but the music got really tired.

necrobutcher - 1-7-2007 at 08:29 PM

Not sure if they have been around longer than this past year but Death In Custody from Detroit is on point. Saw them play a few months ago and they tore it up.

Siczine.com - 1-7-2007 at 10:26 PM

Pulling Teeth and Wisdom In Chains are two shining examples that there is still good hardcore coming out.

is DIE YOUNG the only album they have out ?

Siczine.com - 1-7-2007 at 11:01 PM

No they released a self titled on Gangstyle Records a few years back and have released a 7inch EP on A389 Records.

Gooch - 1-8-2007 at 11:17 AM

LOUD AND CLEAR from Belgium. Think early Youth of Today, Straight Ahead and The Abused.

JawnDiablo - 1-8-2007 at 11:49 AM

I haven't heard anything new that I like in Hardcore since Ramallah came out.

clevohardcore - 1-8-2007 at 12:12 PM

Thought I'd add this since we were chatting about PULLING TEETH

Voodoobillyman - 1-8-2007 at 02:21 PM

I too got into WIC this year, also Grave Robbers and Monster Squad.

Six66Mike - 1-8-2007 at 06:19 PM

ABOUT TO SNAP

Pulling Teeth remind me a lot of the band they are named after, Left For Dead. A lot of similarities there.

Siczine.com - 1-8-2007 at 09:13 PM

Pretty much everything A389 has put out is good,

That about somes it up for me, hardcore music is really hard to come by down here though.

stateofdisgrace - 1-10-2007 at 11:02 AM

Wisdom In Chains was out in 2005 I believe. I like them, too, but they were not a 2006 "New Band".

My vote goes to: Olde York from NYC

They are really improving day by day. Remind me of a band from the 80's, but can't put my finger on it.

joemaconmovies - 1-10-2007 at 11:34 AM

Well, I'm going with The Welch Boys since their album came out April last year or just to be safe, for completely new bands that haven't even released anything yet...The Ear, The Eye, And The Arm (my sister's new band)

MyOwnWay - 1-10-2007 at 11:34 AM

Olde York
Poison Proof
My Turn To Win
Energy
The Pledge

BDx13 - 1-10-2007 at 11:51 AM

can we get a link to olde york?

clevohardcore - 1-10-2007 at 07:08 PM

WELCH BOYS would be a good one.

crazyfists28 - 1-10-2007 at 07:34 PM

not a "new" band to most but the generators get my vote as far as a band i didnt know prior to 06' that i absolutely love now.

Yeah, Death In Custody has been around for a couple of years. Must have been a great show.

Hell yeah. The show had great energy. Only about 15 or 20 were there but it seemed like everyone (including my broken down ass) were dancing or running around having a blast. Throw in a Negative Approach cover and you have money in the bank.

stateofdisgrace - 1-12-2007 at 04:07 PM

Best band to end in 2006? State Of Disgrace.....LOL:P

Dave - 1-12-2007 at 04:15 PM

Comeback Kid
was the best thing i heard in 2006, i love these guys, not sure why but i do.

or maybe i heard them in 2005?

upyerbum - 1-12-2007 at 04:24 PM

I'd say my favorite band I got into this year has to be Discipline, although the Welch Boys are a close second. That song "Can't Wait" is my favorite tune at the moment.

Siczine.com - 1-12-2007 at 05:07 PM

Comeback Kid has been around since 2003 I believe

geneterror - 1-13-2007 at 07:09 AM

I can't decide between Pulling Teeth, Living Hell, Colin Of Arabia and Palehorse.
I listen to the Colin Of Arabia 2006 demo all the time and it's only three songs. I got it at the start off 2006 and it's still not boring.
Palehorse just fuckin' rules if you like Ringworm/Integrity.

thedog - 1-13-2007 at 04:43 PM

bands i got into in 06....
fight like hell
colin of arabia
wisdom in chains
the warriors

Siczine.com - 1-13-2007 at 06:13 PM

Yeah Fight Like Hell is good as shit. Rabid As Wolves has been in my stereo a lot.

tireironsaint - 1-13-2007 at 08:27 PM

The only new band I can think of from 2006 that I liked was The Welch Boys. I got into a lot of stuff that was new to me or that I hadn't listened to in years, but that's the only new band that comes to mind. Those guys are fuckin' great too.

JawnDiablo - 1-13-2007 at 08:28 PM

i will have to check out some of these bands based on i know you guys have pretty good taste

Great band. Gread dudes. Joe's had the good fortune to work with them on, what, two videos now?
You know that line in the last track, "cause when ya piss the big guy off, you're gonna ger the upperdeck"? There's a possibility they're gonna do a video for that song, and TJ asked if I'd be interested in playing the roll of The Big Guy. Without hesitation.

clevohardcore - 1-13-2007 at 09:57 PM

A 18.

I never heard em into like 2 months ago. this band is really fucking good.

Fucking FANTASTIC!!!

upyerbum - 1-13-2007 at 10:19 PM

Thats hysterical cuz when I listen to that tune I always think of that thread on here where I first heard of this phenomenon.
