Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

I like the 10,000 maniacs

clevohardcore - 1-7-2007 at 07:59 PM

Reminds me of the past when things were more simple. Plus, they have great lyrics. I like them.

BDx13 - 1-8-2007 at 08:48 AM

i think they remind me of college girls.
recommendations?

JawnDiablo - 1-8-2007 at 08:49 AM

I like 2001 maniacs

clevohardcore - 1-8-2007 at 11:13 AM

BLIND MAN'S ZOO

IN MY TRIBE

HOPE CHEST

Also the unplugged cd is great too. In that order. Thats all I have of them. They do ahve other material but those have some great lyrics about very deep topics. One of the saddest songs I have ever heard was the song DUSTBOWL off BLIND MAN'S ZOO. Really deep songs. Ya they are mello and whatever but they did write good social commentary music.

BDx13 - 1-8-2007 at 11:25 AM

yeah, i never actively listened to them, but i do remember their sound setting a certain mood.

^^^^^^^ haha your missing out bro. Nothing is more hardcore than a songs about child abuse, alcoholism, corrupt government control. She wrote some deep tunes and the band made good music to accompany it.

BDx13 - 1-9-2007 at 04:18 PM

never knew what the songs were about.
just that college girls listened to them.
ha!

BKT - 1-9-2007 at 04:41 PM

I aint missing shit. I am familliar with her solo shit, as some twat I used to date in University loved all that crap. I like the Neil Younge cover of After the Gold Rush that she did on the live album. Other than that I would rather listen to 100 Demons sing about all that shit.

None the less she does have a beautiful voice.

Spoiler - 1-9-2007 at 09:02 PM

I dig the Cranberries too

has anybody heard Prayer For Cleansing cover "Salvation" by the cranberries ?

BDx13 - 1-9-2007 at 09:14 PM

i am a huge cranberries fan. i've probably seen them a dozen times. met 'em twice.

Discipline - 1-9-2007 at 09:26 PM

Cranberries are great. Her voice is awesome.

clevohardcore - 1-10-2007 at 01:47 AM

I've been intot he Cranberries since the beginning. Went to see them at the Odeon that was a small club in Clevo back in 93. Stephen Street who probuced the first MORRISSEY record did theirs. It was a big deal to have him elect to do a unknown band like them. Plus there drummer kicks much ass. The know how to right a kick ass song.

BDx13 - 2-1-2007 at 05:54 PM

I'm listening to the 10,000 maniacs.

clevohardcore - 2-2-2007 at 12:47 AM

awsome. right now its DIO for me. Although I could go for some maniacs right about now.

MikeCore - 2-6-2007 at 01:00 PM
