Voodoobillyman - 1-25-2007 at 08:25 AM

Dude!!!!!!!!!! Theres some killah dillah stuff on there, I have to take my time and go through the list. Has nayone heard the almighty lumberjacks of death or whatever? Any good?

tireironsaint - 1-25-2007 at 11:19 PM

I know there's some big fans of the Almighty Lumberjacks around hereb, Voodoo. I've only heard a couple of tracks, but it's good stuff. I believe Discipline is very much into that band, if I recall correctly.

newbreedbrian - 1-25-2007 at 11:25 PM

i'd highly recommend anyone doing an order get that beltones album. it flat out smokes

Seconded. The Beltones are one of those incredibly overlooked bands that I try to turn everybody on to. I cannot even begin to explain how much I love them and everything they put out. I really hope Bill gets a line up going again and puts out that much rumored new record one of these days. I'd love to see 'em again too, their live shows are tons of fun.b

Noted, I will pick it up, along with several others on there. I recommend 86 mentality and Set to Explode, both rule! What are the Beltones like?

newbreedbrian - 1-26-2007 at 01:04 PM

beltones are kinda hard to describe. they're usually described as street punk i guess. i think leaving it at that does them a disservice though. really good guitar work, good vocals, good lyrics. hmm.....let's say mix old replacements and husker du with street punk and the intensity of black flag. guess i just made it more confusing. just get the album, it's $5 and you won't regret it. then get the first album

I just realized, this shit is the first song on Disc's second X-mas CD. And shit is good, thanks Disc!!!!

Rainey - 1-26-2007 at 10:28 PM

Well it's only been about 48 hours and the sale is off to a good start. We're burning through a lot of titles, especially the rare/colored vinyl releases, so if there's anything you've got your eye on, I'd suggest placing an order sooner than later.

Thanks everyone....

BDx13 - 2-2-2007 at 12:46 AM

ooooh, that last update got my attention! I;ve been dying for the new PI!

ordered...
1 x POISON IDEA / KILL YOUR IDOLS - Split 7" *LTD Picture Disc*
1 x SET TO EXPLODE - "S/T" 7" EP *WHITE WAX*
1 x SET TO EXPLODE - "S/T" CD EP
1 x VARIOUS ARTISTS - "Boston Drops The Gloves: A Tribute To Slapshot
1 x COCK SPARRER - "Runnin' Riot Across The USA" CD

tireironsaint - 2-2-2007 at 03:22 AM

Nice additions! I already got the new Poison Idea full length (which is fantastic, by the way), so thankfully I don't have a reason to buy something else with KYI on it. That Darkbuster split with Tommy & The Terrors is fuckin' great, as is everything else from Darkbuster. I just drove down to Albuquerque to see them play Wednesday night. Great show, great band, great bunch o' people. In regards to that split, and this is not bagging on Tommy & The Terrors, but it's almost impossible to listen all the way through that thing. It's just nearly impossible to try to follow Darkbuster and not sound lackluster in comparison.

I've still got to finally figure out what I definitely need and go ahead and place my order.

Voodoobillyman - 2-2-2007 at 09:21 AM

I just got my first shipment and plan to make another order today, but I need some help. Alright I got Krum Bums, Blood Spit Nights and the GG Allin with Antiseen CD's. I admit I don't own any nor have I heard much Antiseen, but what little I have heard I dig and I want to pick some up. Which ones would you guys recommend on CD that are available in this sale? Don't say all of em cause I can't afford it, maybe 3 or 4 of their best ones though would be cool. LET ME KNOW SOON

Discipline - 2-2-2007 at 02:51 PM

I can't remember which ones they have but I would definitely recommend:

Badwill Ambassadors
Eat More Possum
Noise For Noise Sake
Hell (all cover tunes, sooooooooooooo fucking good)

You really can't go wrong with any of their albums, but 'Here to Ruin Your Groove' IMO is far and away their absolute best.

Jason the Magnificent - 3-6-2007 at 06:31 AM

Also to anyone who like DRI I can't recommend that Offenders discog enough. The bass player is amazing and actually played on some of the Dealing With It tracks.

Just made another order from this sale. I was really hoping that Offenders discography would come back in stock, but I have the vast majority of their stuff already, so I guess I can let it slide this time.
