tireironsaint - 2-2-2007 at 03:32 AM

I'm diggin' it very much.

JawnDiablo - 2-2-2007 at 01:07 PM

The Joe Coffee guys neer cease to amaze me.

Jason the Magnificent - 2-2-2007 at 02:07 PM

Honestly...I think the novelty of this being Paul bearers band has worn off on me. This is a good song and all...but nothing I would listen to with any regularity. It'll be shelved after one listen to never be played again so I think I'll pass.

BDx13 - 2-2-2007 at 02:30 PM

i feel that way about a lot of bands, but definitely not the first joe coffee record.

Discipline - 2-2-2007 at 02:45 PM

I still listen to the first Joe Coffee record at least once a week.

A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME TO CHECK THIS THINGY OUT...

WHEREAS I RESPECT YOUR OPINION,AND COULD NOT CARE LESS WHETHER YOU LIKE MY MUSIC,OR NOT - I TAKE UMBRAGE IN YOUR ASSUMPTION THAT IT'S A "NOVELTY".

WE WORK HARDER ON PUTTING TOGETHER QUALITY MATERIAL THAN ANY FRIGGIN' BAND YOUR STUPID ASS LISTENS TO.I'LL FUCKING PUT DOLLARS TO DOUGHNUTS ON THAT BET,PAL.

IT'S GOING ON 7 YEARS THAT WE'VE BEEN PLUGGING AWAY,AND IF ANYONE THINKS THAT THIS IS A JOKE OR MY PERSONAL VENDETTA AGAINST THE HARDCORE "SCENE" INBETWEEN SHEER TERROR REUNIONS,CAN KISS MY ASS FROM HERE TO ETERNITY.

NO "NOVELTY" TO BE FOUND HERE,FOLKS.

BET.

gavin - 2-5-2007 at 05:06 PM

to me joe coffee is a progression
people grow older and things change

right now id rather listen to rose tattoo then whatever "hardcore" band is cool right now

i want more real bands
not guys trying to be "tough" or "hardcore" or whatever the fuck
its boring really
im bored with all that
always was really

there are few real bands left
joe coffee is one of 'em

maybe some of you dont "get it"

I think he meant a personal novelty, not implying your band was a novelty. No need to take offense, ye who offends all. By the by, I dig the new tune.

Discipline - 2-5-2007 at 06:36 PM

Wow.:o Nice to see that Paul takes the band so seriously.

Joe Coffee kicks much ass. Now I just need a shirt and the new cd when it comes out.

Yeah, I agree. I find it a little perturbing that Paul would take so much offense to a statement that merely said Jason liked the band at one time but it's not his thing now.

REV.PAULIE - 2-5-2007 at 09:54 PM

AND,I QUOTE:

"It'll be shelved after one listen to never be played again so I think I'll pass. "

JERK-OFF SAID THIS AFTER HEARING ONE FRIGGIN' SONG OUT OF ELEVEN.

AND,AS FOR THE "YE WHO OFFENDS ALL..." CRACK - STICK IT UP YOUR ASS.
IF YOU THINK I LIVE MY LIFE,OR PLAY MUSIC (SAME THING,REALLY) TO OFFEND PEOPLE - BUDDY,YOU AINT GOT A CLUE,EITHER.

FIND THIS "PERTURBING" - FUCK YOU TO HELL.

REV.PAULIE BEARER,
AGGRAVATED

Siczine.com - 2-5-2007 at 11:56 PM

haha amazing, not everyone is going to like you or your music and for someone that makes a living by poking fun at people you sure get offended easily.

Discipline - 2-6-2007 at 12:46 AM

This thread has taken an unexpected yet intersting turn.

Siczine.com - 2-6-2007 at 12:53 AM

I just find it funny he is bad mouthing people that didn't really say anything bad at all about him or his band and most likely enjoyed Sheer Terror and some of Joe Coffee. All Jason did was state his opinion, and it didn't slander anyone yet Paul needed to make harsh opinions saying that it's better than any shit band he listens to. I'm sorry that shit is pathetic and childish. God forbid everyone doesnt suck off Sheer Terror and Paul Bearer, seriously grow the fuck up.

and as ususal, Senor Bad Vibes says it best so I don't have to.

people can argue for or against it till the cows come home.
Personally, I like the band a helluva lot.
Did I check them out because Paulie was the singer? Of course I did. Sheer Terror was one of the only bands in this genre of music that even mattered to me through the years while so much of the hardcore style went down the toilet.
But that's just me. Personally I can't wait for the new CD. The last couple times i've seen the band live, the new material blew me away. Christ, they're the only band I go out of my way to see anymore besides Murphys LAw. And Ray Ray's a helluva nice guy to boot. And for the comments Paul left on here, well thats just pure Paulie, and If you're shocked by that, you should hear the man on stage..So when you playin the Khyber again?

Exactly the kind of response I expected. Actually, I DO get it, you have strong opinions and yer not afraid to express them. I find, as do you I'm sure, that most people get offended by those who are willing to express their true thoughts no matter the consequence. That's what I meant by "Ye who offends all" So wipe the grit outta yer pussy. As far as the first comment to get yer panties in a bunch, what does it matter to you? really? The fella stated ,based on the one song, that it didn't appeal to him any longer, you losin sleep over this or what?

Voodoobillyman - 2-6-2007 at 09:06 AM

Oh, and for the record, I do dig this new tune. It's good.

Jason the Magnificent - 2-6-2007 at 10:31 AM

Oh jesus...I just checked back here for the first time...get the sand out of your vagina Paul. For someone who supposedly doesn't care what people think about him you sure got butt hurt pretty quick about a relatively non malicious and admittedly non-important opinion of your band.

People genuinely dig your band and good for them. Different strokes...but I didn't figure you for someone who needed a rosey review of everything he did for self validation. As far as working harder than everyone else...or anyone I listen to (since I'm sure you're really well informed on the spectrum of my musical tastes), to put together quality material...you're a paint by numbers rock band with above average lyrics...lets not fool yourself into thinking you have some worldly significance.

I picked up the first CD because I was a fan of ST and after several listens the PERSONAL novelty to ME (just so this is blatantly clear and you don?t get anymore tears in your soup about an OPINION) of it being your band wore off...sorry. At no point did I say the band was a novelty.

I'm sure you'll have some really cutting edge and "offensive" reply to this once you get done patting yourself on the back.

gavin - 2-6-2007 at 02:13 PM

look, when you work hard on something only to have it dismissed right off the bat, it can tend to get to a person
thats all

when i was playing in my little band, there were times that we were dismissed because of one thing or another

it can be annoying to be blown off
if someone dosent like it, cool
but before actually giving a chance or blowing something off because of one reason or another can be frustrating

im speaking from personal experence here
i aint speaking for paul or joe coffee since i have no idea what he/they feel on this

gavin - 2-6-2007 at 02:20 PM

and i am old enough to remember when all new sheer terror came out and how each record was different from the other
people always hated them when they first came out cuz they didnt sound like just cant hate enough
now everyone jerks off over everything they did, and rightly so
sometimes people need to open up a bit and just listen to things for what they are as oppossed to what they think they should be

word niggaz

Jason the Magnificent - 2-6-2007 at 02:36 PM

I don't have some shallow narrowminded view of music. I listen to everything from rap to rock to hc to country to classical to metal to whatever, if I like it I like it.

No ones dismissed anything right away, I don't know how much more of a chance I'm required to give things than listening to a song. I listen to tons of bands mp3's and if I went and purchased every one of their albums to give 3rd, 4th and 5th chances to grow on me I wouldn't get very much done in a day.

The point is I made a very polite statement on why I didn't think I would be getting the album on a forum where open discussion is the norm...and someone who has spent most of his career trying to convince people he doesn't give a fuck what people think about him just showed his cards.

REV.PAULIE - 2-6-2007 at 02:42 PM

I'VE BEEN "SHOWING MY CARDS" FOR 25 YEARS,DICK.

THEY'RE CALLED "LYRICS".

REV.PAULIE BEARER

gavin - 2-6-2007 at 02:45 PM

i didnt say you werent open to all kinds of music
im speaking from personal experences and saying that i understand where paul is coming from
thats all

put all your effort into some form of "art" or music or whatever and have it sort of just blown off and see if it dosent bother you to a point

my band talked some shit when we were playing out
how we didnt care what people thought abnd blah blah
but ya know what, when we were blown off because if things people heard about us, or some of the bands we are friends with or whatever, it does bother ya

whatever
why am i even in this?

Jason the Magnificent - 2-6-2007 at 02:52 PM

because we're all idiots arguing on the internet

gavin - 2-6-2007 at 03:17 PM

fair enough then

stateofdisgrace - 2-7-2007 at 11:54 AM

anywhere else you can hear some Joe Coffee aside from myspace? I am blocked at work from going there......

stateofdisgrace - 2-7-2007 at 12:03 PM

Forget it, I sampled it at Amazon.

I think its different. I liked it. I'd put it into rotation. Someone is selling the record, used for like 85 cents. Good music for less than a buck, I'll take it.
