Anyone on here into Radio Controled cars? A friend of mine is getting into it and it seems pretty cool! I think Im gonna take like $200-$300 of my tax return money and get one so we can race and stuff. Should be fun...... for awhile at least!

I want to pick one up for me son. I was watching a David Letterman rerun from this past christmas and he had a lady from TOYS R US on there. They had this exclusive truck that was only $50 and it was bad ass. He smashed all kinds of props and even moved a camera stand with it. It was crazy-strong. I want to pick that up. My boy would love that.

Call me a fuckin idiot but I always thought those old guys that had those radio controlled boats and raced them in big ponds were cool. For some reason that looks cool. I think I could sit around and race those things around for a while.

I was at a store the other day that had some INSANE radio controled boats... they were HUGE and super detailed. Some of the planes are even crazier, but they are all gas powered engines which is a lot more involved. They have gas powered cars too, but Im going with electric.

i had an RC 10 when i was a kid.
took forever to put together. mostly cause my skateboard offered serious competition for my time.
raced it a few times at some local track. it was mostly older dudes there competing, though.

I've got a few Zip Zap Rc Cars from radio shack. My kids like them.
We have races on the back porch.
