A man is being quizzed on suspicion of murder and sexual assault after a two-year-old girl was found dead at her home in a pool of her own blood.

The toddler, named locally as Casey Leigh Mullen, was found in her family's three-bedroom council home in Gipton, Leeds, at about 9.30pm on Sunday.

A man aged 21 has been arrested over the incident. Two other men aged 19 and 20 who were arrested at the same time have been released without charge.

A post-mortem examination on the little girl's body has been completed but the results are being withheld for operational reasons, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said. A Homicide and Major Inquiry Team, led by Detective Superintendent Steve Payne, is investigating the death.

Neighbour Sarah Pringle, 22, said she found the girl's mother screaming hysterically when she dropped in after hearing a disturbance.

She said she attempted to resuscitate the child, who was bleeding heavily from her ears and nose, while they waited for an ambulance.

She said: "(The girl's mother) went upstairs and all of a sudden I heard her screaming 'She's dead, she's dead. Somebody's killed Casey'.

"I ran up to the bedroom and found Casey covered in blood. She picked her up and cradled her while crying uncontrollably. It was horrible. She was too shocked to give her mouth-to-mouth, so I did it while we waited for an ambulance."

Flowers and tributes were left at the scene of the tragedy last night. Children's toys, including a red plastic bus, could still be seen in the garden.

One card, attached to a bouquet of flowers, read: "Casey XX. A little smiler, up with the angels. RIP. From all at 14."

here in delco they uncovered a child porn ring being run out of a day care. infants were being molested and filmed. they found more than 1 million images in the seized computer of child porn. they had cameras mounted in the bathrooms and the upstairs was converted to a child porn studio.
i hope someone kills these assholes in prison.

ive always said stick em on the electric chair and if it breaks down, finish the fucker off with matches.

I agree with you on this except for the electric chair part. The electric chair is too good and fast for those sick fucks.
I like your idea of "for the authorites to turn a blind eye to victems familys to arrange there own way of punishment for these fuckers" allot better.
