Signature Series guitars....

XHonusWagnerX - 2-16-2007 at 10:41 PM

Im a sucker for 'signature series' guitars, especially of players that I really like. Here are some that I really wish I owned....

JOHNNY RAMONE signature Mosrite

GENE SIMMONS signature Punisher bass

GENE SIMMONS signature Axe bass

KURT COBAIN signature Fender JagStang

EDDIE VAN HALEN signature Charvel

NIKKI SIXX signature Gibson Blackbird bass

PAUL STANLEY signature Washburn PS2000
*I rather have the Ibanez PS10, but couldnt find a good picture of one.

ANGUS YOUNG signature Gibson SG

"DIMEBAG" DARRELL ABBOTT signature Washburn Dime

DAN ARMSTRONG plexiglass
*Not really a signature model, but I consider it a Greg Ginn model

Did you see the shit in Guitar World about the EVH replicas? They recreated his fucking guitar down to the cig burns, the screw holes and even the quarter he screwed onto the front of the goddamn thing! 25 fucking grand.

If you can get your hands on that issues it's cool, fascinating to read how the Fender custom shop built it, buying rolls of 1972 quarters on Ebay and shit like that.

I always loved the Ibanez iceman...my friend had one.after he died , i don't know what became of it
and the Washburn Diamond Darrel played...

there is a pawn shop on 69th street in my town that has guitars.
when i was in high school one of my burnout friends purchased a 68 gibson SG there for peanuts. it turned out this thing was worth a fortune somehow.
i wonder if he stil has it

i always wanted a black SG

I would cut off a finger for that Gene Simmons axe bass

I bought an ebook from this guy John Gleneicki that does custom paint jobs on guitars. The book shows you how to do pro-looking custom jobs with lacquer based spraypaint. In the book he explains how to do that Eddie Van Halen paint job (minus the quarter and burns and all that shit). Some kid is giving me little shitty Charvel that I might try that design on. Right now I'm in the process of painting the Les Paul copy I've had since I was 13. If anyone wants a copy of the book, holler. It's just a PDF file.

I want a Lemmy signature Rickenbacker (sp.?) bass. They only made like 50 or 100 of them.

I'm a Lemmy freak. It doesn't matter what it looks like, I want one.

JUICE MAYNE MSHC - 2-17-2007 at 01:45 PM

I uploaded it to yousendit. Here's the link for anyone who wants it http://download.yousendit.com/75D22F0C56963924
There's 3 books in all. The first one Paint Your Guitar is the main one, the other 2 cover various other things like wiring, protecting the finish, etc.

Its definitly cool... I just think its kind of odd for him. I would have thought it would be all Iron Crosses or something.

I'm the exact opposite. I'll play the shit out of a guitar or bass but I refuse to even sit behind a drum kit.

Two different new Lemmy signature Bass'.....

$1100 on eBay

Discipline - 2-19-2007 at 10:06 PM

I wish.:(

newbreedbrian - 2-19-2007 at 11:40 PM

don't get me wrong, lemmy is god. still not that big on the sig. rickenbacker (and I play a '74 ric) and that other one is ugly as sin. abalone looks great on headstock designs and oval hole rosettes no doubt, but not as body trim IMO. thumbs down from me.
