Thanks bro, but it's too late, I jumped the gun and got it from Amazon last night, I kept checking out their myspace and have this issue with patience. I'm an impulse buyer like a motherfucker! Thanks though. I'll take a Bad Vibes t-shirt if you got any left:P

Do yourselves a favor and check it out, it's a side project for some of the Rose Tattoo guys or is it just the one guy? I dunno

English Rose if i'm not mistaken. I'm a huge Rose Tattoo fan, and they are worlds apart my friend.

Brian's words, aside from the "if I'm not mistaken" part, are exactly what I would've said.

I still can't get past the whole white power bullshit with any bands, let alone this one. I'll grant them that they have a decent sound and are worlds better than English Rose ever could have hoped to be, but I refuse to put money in the pocket of someone who actively promotes a racial supremacy agenda.

agreed. if you really want the music you can always steal it! I prefer to avoid it altogether.

My mistake

Voodoobillyman - 3-2-2007 at 09:34 AM

truthfully, the WP part of it does not bother me at all. And just to clarify, no I don't subscribe to that ideology, but I can listen to music that does. Hell, I listen to all kinds of shit that fundamentally I totally disagree with, but the music is good and I can take the lyrics with a grain of salt. No biggie

gavin - 3-2-2007 at 12:31 PM

i didnt hear one white power reference in any of these songs
and if there was, whatever
i dont havta agree with the things i listen to
slayer talks about fucking dead people but i dont take that seriously

newbreedbrian - 3-2-2007 at 02:39 PM

no biggie man. just wanted to clarify is all. rose tattoo were one of the best rock'n'roll bands of all time. english rose were a dull white power band. i love me some early skrewdriver and the original band wasn't political in the least. as for glorification of racial segregation in music, i want no part of listening to or supporting that personally. as for what other people do, that's their business. i'm not the thought police. and as for TTM, i do actually like their sound though the name is retarded. as for their politics, don't know don't care. enjoy the cd!

tireironsaint - 3-3-2007 at 04:30 AM

Just to clarify my earlier statement that seems to be making some people get a little defensive, all I'm saying is that the band is very obviously full of WP guys and I refuse to give those fuckers a dime of my money. Whether their lyrics are expressly racist or not, they are sending out the signals that they are a part of that scene. They may have a good sound, but they'll never get any support from me. What any of you wanna do is up to you, it's your money and I certainly don't expect any of you to consult me before opening your wallets.

I definitely don't feel the need to agree 100% with every lyric or viewpoint that a band has before I can get into them, if I did that I would have nothing to listen to. I'm sober and I sing along to drinking songs, y'know? I'm aware that some of the bands I like have members with sketchy pasts and that there are definitely some out there who hold views in direct opposition to my own, but it's one thing to disagree with someone personally and it's another thing to financially support someone who is an active participant in something like the WP movement. My personal decision for myself, is that no matter how good a band sounds, if they are clearly involved in that culture they will never get my money.

gavin - 3-3-2007 at 11:23 AM

i didnt pay for the cd
i dont pay for any music at this point
i spent enough over the years
i got some commin back ta me

I can respect that stand for sure. Me, I don't view my buying their album as a direct support for their cause, it's probably more like beer money, hey Nazis gotta drink too ya know?;)
