Who all here has daughters? I know BD and Def Star Steve both have young ladies in their lives. Who else? Do you find yourself sweating her later years? I think I dwell on my lil ones dating more than I should, it started as a joke kinda thing, but now I actually dread the future more and more. Am I worrying too much? My wife dressed her in these rad little overalls and put her hair into pigtails to go see friends and I was so overwhelmed with her cuteness that I started to think about her later dating age years and it scares the shit out of me for real!

daughter turns 12 this year
she already has her monthly going on and is turning into quite the little woman
but she has also been grounded for like2 months for lying about a school project and seems to care less about boys

do I worry yes, but we told her long ago
have sex, get brutally killed by a serial killer, (she loves horror films)
so I think she'll be okay

I need to remember that approach, fear is far better than early pregnancy. Also, if you don;tmind my asking, did she just get her monthly cycle thing? 12? Is that an average age to expect that part of a womans life to come to fruition? That scares me too, Mom better be the fuck around when it comes because dad can't fuckin deal with it.........AT ALL

No daughter but I have a 12 year old niece I worry about and a 15 year old sister I REALLY worry about.

usually between 11 and 13 I guess

she got it over x-mas break this year at 11 when she was visiting her mom

but my wife made sure she was prepared
explained all of the facts, lies, and myths
basically told her everything that I have no idea about
and yeah fear is a good motivator

and she has seen mer mom and the shitty life she leads and knows that having sex too young or doing dumb shit will get you nowhere

My daughter is 7.
I still have a while untill i have to worry about her with the boys and my son (8) with the girls.

My little girl is 6. She's taking Tae Kwon Do. She's gonna' be a tall, blue-eyed blonde like her Mama. I started her in martial arts last year. Firearms training begins when she's 8. I'm not kidding.

My wife and I have talked in length about this approach and she says I can send her to whatever classes and teach her whatever as long as it is healthy, helpful and not dangerous. Oh yeah, self defense, non-lethal weapons training (I'm a certified instructor for the Navy) and firearms, both handgun and shotgun/rifle. She is going to have all the tools I can provide for taking care of herself in this fucked up world.

I figure for the stuff I teach her I can use the boys she brings around as my test subjects to demonstrate for her:cool:

I started shooting competitively at 7. I really enjoyed it. My sister was always better than me though. That always pissed me off.

Oh yeah... I have no kids. Just wanted to add this.

I'm glad I have a son.
He is 10
I'd bet the teen years are going to be allot easier with him than if I had a girl
