Can someone explain to me (or post a link) that explains how the hell this works??? There are some things I'd like to download that aren't available
on CD, but this shit is confusing me... probably because I set up Soulseek while drunk a few months ago and haven't touched it since.
(If it helps, I use a Mac, so I'm actually using Soulseex).

What are your questions?
Six66Mike - 3-12-2007 at 12:58 AM
I guess people with Soulseek problems never used Napster, because they are so much alike its sick.
Search for files, black ones are available now, grey means there is a queue so you can queue them up & they'll download later.
It doesn't really get much easier

i don't have friends.
fuck it.

It seems like it should be obvious. However, the Noob FAQ seem like it's written for a Windows/PC GUI, not a Mac, which is causing me some confusion.
If all I need to do is search and find a user that's online, then I'm fine (user 803 has lots of things I want, but isn't online).
I'll update later with more questions if need be. And no, I didn't use Napster.

napster circa 1999/2000 ruled.

To show I'm a retard, it took me three tries to burn from iTunes to a CD that will work in my DVD player (if BFB wasn't so good, that would be $10
that was totally wasted).

Napster did rule but Soulseek has been just as good. A lot of people will only let you download these days if you are on their list which is stupid
but usually if they got what you want, you can try asking them to add you & make sure you add them also.
I haven't downloaded mp3's in a while now since I've been killing my 40GB/month on TV shows. But music should still be easy to get either through
Soulseek, IRC FServes, FTP servers or torrents

For TV shows, try www.peekvid.com. Found it last night. Lots of good streaming videos, but not The Shield (I may have to pay for that one). Watched Beer League,
which wasn't very good.

Heh I got more than enough to download at BitMeTV which is a private TV only torrent site. If I had 100GB limit a month and the HDD I would still go
over my limit here haha.
The Shield is available at BitMe, Season 1-4 DVD Rips, Season 5 seems to be TV rips, and a little Season 6 prequel. I don't watch the show so don't
pay attention but the Commish ruled.

I couldn't figure it out either.
I have Limewire and it had been working ok for what it is worth.
i'm not in front of a PC at home much anymore.

I have no problems with Soulseek. I been tearing it up lately too... music, comic books(!!!!) and audiobooks.
DeathByForce - 3-12-2007 at 08:28 PM
I just downloaded the entire Civil War collection off of bittorrent.
JawnDiablo - 3-13-2007 at 05:49 AM
