BDx13 - 4-4-2007 at 12:08 AM

Danzig has announced plans for a new compilation of b-sides and rarities. The record is titled The Lost Tracks of Danzig and is due out May 29, 2007. All of the tracks were recorded during the band's seven-album "arc" that began with 1988's Danzig. The material is presented in chronological order; the first two cuts are "Pain Like an Animal" and "When Death Had No Name," both songs that have their roots in late Samhain but evolved into two of the very first Danzig tracks and intended for the band's self-titled debut.

The album will also feature previously unreleased cover songs including music by T-Rex, David Bowie, and "Caught In My Eye" by the Germs ("Danzig 6"). Also featured in a song Glenn wrote specifically for the late Johnny Cash.

i listened to danzig's first album in the car the other day.
man, that was good.
2nd, 3rd and the live cd were good too.
what happened?
honestly, i got really turned off when he started doing the comic stuff.
that shit made it like a parody to me.
there;s something about that first record, though.

Yeah, this is the first thing from him in years that is catching my attention.

The first 3 are awsome.

Just plain awsome stuff.

cant get into his music at all.

first 3 cds were real good.
when i listen to the first one i still remember being 14 when it came out.
i'll wait for a friend to buy it and hear theirs.
I havent been interested in anything he has done in years.
however, i was rocking out Legacy Of Brutality in the car yesterday. That shit is timeless. Hard to beleive some of that material is nearly 30 years old.

The first 3 are amazing records start to finish in my opinion... but I also really liked the last one 'Circle of Snakes'.

I bet that rare track comp will be good!

Danzig rules. I like all of his albums except Danzig 5: Blackacidevil, which sucked pretty hard. Danzig 666: Satan's Child had some great tracks on it.

"...and the controversial "White Devil Rise", which was recorded for 1994's "Danzig 4p" and is Glenn's conjecture as to what would happen if Louis Farrakhan incited the passive white race to rise up against and start a race war with the Black Islamic movement."

JawnDiablo - 4-4-2007 at 11:19 AM

all race aside, Louis Farrakhan would still be an asshole if he was plaid.
they wanted to stick his face on a stamp, but nobody would know what side to spit on.
