I have stopped cussing because of my son. He is now repeating or attempting to repeat everything we say.
This is tough.
It's like Chicago. "It's a HARD HABIT TO BREAK!!!!!!!!!"

Yeah man,
Swearing in front of the kids is a no-no. Its hard to stop. Took me a while. But my wife beats my ass, so its stopped fairly quickly.....

it took me a while to get it out of my system, but i started extra early.
every once and i while, i'll let out a high-volume barrage of obscenities (that's the only time my new york accent comes out); usually when i'm behind
the wheel and another driver does something dumb that endangers my family. anyway, my oldest will be like, "why you yelling daddy?" she gets that
i'm angry, but i don't think she catches the specifics (yet). i think she also gets that it's in defense of her and her mother. after i calm down i
explain that the other car wasn't paying attention and that they almost hit us and that i don't want anything to happen to them.
anyway, now i gotta drop stuff like 'dumb' 'stupid' 'retarted' etc. not curse words, but words that are inappropriate for a three year old.

I practice the double standard. She knows what's appropriate and when. But I don't really censor her.

My little dude just hit a year and he's starting to mimic words as well.
My wife has a bigger mouth on her than I do though, so we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Hahahaha.

I'm pretty bad about it, and I gotta start watchign my language. I've tried to replace "fuck" with "frakk"(from Battlestar Galactica).
