Thanks for the answers. I knew #2, but not #1. If I win, the statue is yours!

I wish I was allowed to enter.:( I'd love to have that statue.

DaveMoral - 5-15-2007 at 03:32 PM

Muttley - 5-15-2007 at 09:59 PM

I actually knew both answers. I'm a geek like that. That statue is niiiiiiice and would be a nice addition to the collection.

Thought the stamps didn't come out til next week, I could be wrong.

DaveMoral - 5-15-2007 at 10:11 PM

Eh, I thought they came out back when they announced 'em. At any rate, those stamps will be mine.

If it wasn't a federal offense I'd tax one of those R2D2 mailboxes too.

Word I've heard is that the stamps drop next week.

May 25th 2007 will be the 30th anniversary of the release of A New Hope. I remember going to the theater and I was 3 years old.

Wow I feel old.

DaveMoral - 5-17-2007 at 05:28 PM

Haha, that was 2 years before I was born. I remember my older cousin getting me into SW, eventually giving me most of his toys and action figs and then my mom got rid of those.

I was 3 when I went to see Empire Strikes Back. Looooong time ago.

tireironsaint - 5-17-2007 at 10:36 PM

I was 5 when it came out and still remember seeing it in the theater with the folks. Star Wars was a HUGE thing for me as a kid and was a big nostalgia thing as I grew up until they ruined the whole thing by making those terrible new movies and all that shit. I can't stand Star Wars shit now.

defstarsteve - 5-17-2007 at 11:18 PM

I was 4 and it fucked me up enough to name my business after it....

DaveMoral - 5-18-2007 at 08:50 AM

Hahaha, steve... Star Wars still influences me to this day. I ponder philosophical and spiritual questions through it on Star Wars message boards with other fans equally fucked up by it.

Saint, I agree that the new trilogy isn't nearly as good and in some cases takes away from the original... but I still like 'em. Especially seeing Yoda go off all Hong Kong style. I'm campaigning that the original trilogy be show to children first, THEN the prequels. I hate the notion of "No, I am your father" being ruined.

Half my china cabinet is full of Star Wars action figures.

I was 7 years old. I saw it 13 times that first year. The scariest was when my grandma took me and my twin brother and she had a heart attack during the opening credits. What does a 7 year old do? I remember using the pay phone to dial 911....scary....
