Jason the Magnificent - 5-20-2007 at 08:04 AM

'08 can't wait

DaveMoral - 5-20-2007 at 11:13 AM

That's a rather twisted looking Joker don't you think? Not even remotely traditional.

Jason the Magnificent - 5-20-2007 at 11:43 AM

Yep. Perfect. I dont want to see another goofball in a purple tux dancing around to Prince songs.

The vibe of Batman Begins was dark and I would hope/assume C. Nolan will follow suit with this one.

XHonusWagnerX - 5-20-2007 at 12:14 PM

That looks awesome. I cant wait for the next movie!!

I agree 1000%...I've watched Batman Begins prolly 50 times, love it.

i think the original batman was fantastic but i agree, batman begins had the feel that id like to see a batman as. so if they are doing another one, this seems perfect

tireironsaint - 5-20-2007 at 09:47 PM

I was seriously impressed by Batman Begins as far as comic book movies go, I LOVE the dark stuff. If this is any indication of what the next one will be like I will be a fan.

insane criminal genius-----

hmmm dancing happy fruity, or dark kill people and not give a fuck,
I'll take door #2 please

and I like batman begins a lot...
who would have thought christian bale could play a rich socialite by day, and have a deep dark secret at night

DaveMoral - 5-20-2007 at 10:53 PM

From what I've been reading Ledger says he's basing his Joker somewhat off early comic appearances like in 1940. Both in Batman #1, jewel theif that leaves his victims poisoned in such a way as they are left with an eerie grin. He's described as having a smile not of mirth but of death. And Allan Moore's The Killing Joke(easily the darkest Batman story ever told). And also by Alex and the droogs from A Clockwork Orange. Should be very interesting.

I'm kind of hoping the Glasgow smile we see above is something he did to himself in his insanity rather than something that was done to him.

i have the killing joke, glossy cover. is that worth anything nowadays?

DaveMoral - 5-21-2007 at 08:17 PM

Should be worth something.

Indeed. I was just waiting in batman begins for him to be with a groups of peers when the bat signal lights up.... "Bruce, where are you going?" "I have to return some video tapes."
