Any one care explaining why Stallone can't let his long dead movie franchises go?

JawnDiablo - 5-20-2007 at 11:38 AM

yeah really
i read he was just popped in Australia for having possession of illegal roids or something.
I forced myself to watch Rocky Balbla the other night.
It was hard to get through.

Rocky Balboa RULED.

godabandonedme - 5-20-2007 at 11:48 AM

I gota admit I'm excited, wasn't really untill I saw the guy get his head chopped off. Anyway, I think I'm at that perfect age where all the rest where so cool for me when I was younger like Transformers. I thought the new Rocky blew ass.

Its funny that hes using full names for the movies now.

whats next? COBRA II "Marion Cobretti"

SHAKO KEN - 5-20-2007 at 11:52 AM

look at the trailer, it's violent as hell. i'm excited about it, i mean who would have expected these movies from a 60 year old guy? stallone is setting a new standard for how old action heroes can be (with the help of a shitload of hormones).

JawnDiablo - 5-20-2007 at 11:55 AM

Rocky Balboa had some beautiful Kensington scenery in it.......the real Philadelphia

godabandonedme - 5-20-2007 at 12:06 PM

Reading the comments, apparently this is not an offical trailer. So who knows if all that violence will get in there.

Unbound - 5-20-2007 at 12:35 PM

I think that he is doing these movies sort of as a way to close the final chapters of both series with good flicks. The last Rambo movie and Rocky 5 weren't exactly the pinnacles of the series'. So he bascially wants to revisit the charachter one last time before he is too old to do so. I think it's pretty cool actually. Rocky Balboa was a pretty good movie I thought and when you consider that Stallone wrote and directed it, you have to admit the guys still got talent.

So long as the scene where he rips the guy's throat open with his bare hands is in there, I'll be a pretty happy camper.

wow, that's a big preview for a movie that doesn't come out for another 370 days.

I like Rambo III, and I can't help but laugh at the irony of the dedication to all the mujahideen of Afghanistan at the end.

godabandonedme - 5-20-2007 at 03:40 PM

Yea I noticed that too. In Rambo III, they where made out to be the heros that were fighting against communist scum......who'da thunk............

HAHA too true.

Unbound - 5-21-2007 at 09:00 PM

I don't think it is really financially motivated. After all I think he fronted a lot of the money for Rocky Balboa and I don't think it was a huge smash at the box office. I would think Rambo will do about the same.

Its for his habit, he was busted by Aussie customs when he came for the Rocky premier, had multiple viles of steroids & human growth hormone so now he's been fined.

He's gotta pay for his roids.

DaveMoral - 5-21-2007 at 10:51 PM

I noticed in those reports he's sporting the John Rambo mullet.

upyerbum - 5-22-2007 at 11:07 AM

I'll go see this just for pure nostalgia.
