2 friends of mine
brothers at that
work for a pretty good company, at least we thought
the older one had climbed the ladders
got a good job making good cash
able to support the family and have the wife stay at home
younger brother had a good machinist job

just got outsourced to china
no job
good luck finding a comparable position of employment in this area....there isnt shit

yeah its nothing new,
but you know what, it pisses me the fuck off.

jobs keep getting outsourced, yet the population keeps growing from internal and external sources.

someday, there will be a lot of people and not that many jobs.

seems like common sense, but try explaining that to corporations, companies, etc.

I'm sorry to hear this. It is everywhere and my area is one of the hardest hit over the past 10 years and most will argue over the past 20 years. Things are very difficult now a days.

Not really surprising. Sucks big time. The American dream has been a crock of shit for a number of years.

Seriously... things are going the way of tech jobs or other such skilled labor and people that don't have the desire to go through college and what not are shit outta luck. Country can't last long when that happens.

Sucks. I live in an economically depressed area as well. I could go west and make a dumptruck full of money, but if everyone leaves what happens? They shut down the fisheries, the coal mines and the steel industry over the last 25 years, lots of people out of work. Hard Times in the Maritimes, as we like to say.

Funny thing is the guy from the Liquor Commision straight up said, "The provincial government needs 17 million dollars and people drink lots of beer in the summer." I was listening to it on the radio on my way to work and kind of felt a little better about it when I heard that. I guess its a 3 month hike, a buck a two-four. We have had riots related to liquor and access to said liquor in this city before though.
