Another band I would expect to like based on the description and especially the influences, but I just can't get into 'em. I just went and listened to all the tracks they have up on myspace and while they are MUCH better than most of what gets passed off as HC these days, they just don't pull me in. One of my favorite types of HC bands has always been the ones with a heavy connection to the Street Rock/Oi sound which these guys list all over the place, but I don't hear at all. I even think they picked a fantastic Cocksparrer song to cover, but to my ear they butchered it. I dunno, it might be a completely different thing if I ever saw them live and I don't wanna write them of unless and until I do see them, but I just can't see what all the hype is about. As I said, it's head and shoulders above all that thugcore and metal shit, but I'm just not getting hooked here. Maybe it's just the same old new school NYHC vocal sound, but something is driving me away. Oh well.

It may very well be the vox. The shows are awesome for sure! Hope you do get to check 'em out sometime.

I know a dude that's all about oi and street rock and thinks WIC is too Madball.

Yeah, that's kinda the impression I got too. I didn't wanna say that it just sounded too much like Madball to me because then I knew everyone would just talk about how it sounds nothing like Madball and call me crazy.

And Siczine, Hard Core as a genre has been putting out fewer decent bands since about '86 or so, but there are definitely some fantastic bands that I love very much that have risen (and fallen) just in the past 8 or 9 years. There have also been some amazing records coming out from older bands that have been well past that '89 marker. I know you were just trying to dig at me with the comment and that it wasn't entirely serious, but that's my serious response to it.
