A brand new MADBALL track, entitled "Infiltrate the System", has been posted on the band's MySpace page. The song is the title cut of the New York City hardcore legends' upcoming album, due on August 21 in the U.S. on Ferret Music (in Europe on I Scream, in South America on Liberation, in Australia on Resist). Check out the cover artwork at this location.

"Infiltrate the System" track listing:

01. Justify
02. Infiltrate the System
03. Revolt
04. No Escape
05. Takeover
06. Renegades
07. Set Me Free
08. The Messenger
09. Liberty or Death
10. A Novelty
11. You're Gone
12. P.Y.I.T.F. Part 3
13. Stand Up NY

Speaking from Planet Z studios in Massachusetts, where the band recorded the CD with producer Zeuss (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL, THROWDOWN), MADBALL frontman Freddy Cricien recently said about the new material, "The album will lyrically keep some of the hardcore standards while branching out from any of their previous work. We are hoping to branch out conceptually with 'Infiltrate'. We do have a few songs written about themes that are familiar to our fans, such as life on the streets, but we also have some songs that delve more into social commentary. By no means are we a political band now, we're still giving you first hand accounts of our life but there is other topics we want to talk about such as self-empowerment which everyone can relate to. Kids from the hardcore scene are infiltrating the system everyday and making changes to old ways of thinking, we have fans whom grew up with our band and are in all walks of life including CEOs of companies, politicians, teachers and more."

Musically, Circien says that the songs will contain some surprises. "For the first time ever, we have songs that are over three minutes, a record for MADBALL," he said. "We are going to have Hoya (bass) and Mitts (guitar) sing as well, because I discovered that Mitts has an excellent voice. This record is also going to be a lot heavier, so if kids don't want to dance to this, I don't know what they will want to dance to!"

"Infiltrate the System" is the follow up to 2005's "Legacy", a critically acclaimed album that received feature coverage in Revolver, Decibel, and Metal Maniacs.

Formed when Cricien was in his early teens, MADBALL has been one of the driving forces of hardcore in recent years delivering anthemic, touchstone albums such as "Demonstrate My Style" (1996) and "Set It Off" (1994).

i just want a taste before i go out and buy it...

panzerkreuzer - 6-25-2007 at 12:47 PM

i like it. it?s typical madball.
you can mosh and shout to it. good stuff.

Discipline - 6-25-2007 at 02:41 PM

I actually wasn't overly impressed with the new track. I don't know why, just wasn't big on it.

Jason the Magnificent - 6-25-2007 at 03:37 PM

Its boring. Sounds like hatebreed meets nu-madball. Bring back Matt Henderson or cash it in.

ENDERA.x - 6-25-2007 at 03:52 PM

Yeah the new track is more like, metal ish.

I don't like it too much. To me, like Legacy, I just don't get into it nearly as much as the old shit. Doesn't even make me wanna nod my head to it even. Maybe here and there but like... over all, no.

I need to hear the rest of the cd though.
The break down in this new song is funny. It's boring. If it was LIVE that would be a different story though. Madball is always 200 times better live than on cd IMO.

Alot of times, I let a playlist of bands play though as I'm working, so I'm not really paying attention. But every once and a while something hits me and I feel like movin. That's one way that I can say I like a band. Old Madball did that for me, the new stuff doesn't I could let it play in the background while working and not really paying attention to it and it doesn't really catch my attention. But eh, the rest of the album will tell what path they're going on I guess. They are still a great band.

Hmmmm, not sure yet. It doesn't have quite the same bounce that Madball usually has.

That's what I thought, it weas missing something. Either way, I'll buy the album when it comes out and I'm going to see them next month.

CR83 - 6-25-2007 at 05:52 PM

I like it but the reference to a "bounce" earlier was spot on.

DaveMoral - 6-25-2007 at 08:39 PM

I'm waiting for the rest of the tracks to start popping up. I'm skeptical about Freddy saying Hoya and Mitts are going to sing. What does that mean?

MyOwnWay - 6-25-2007 at 10:37 PM

I love it. No joke. Lyricaly it has empowerment. Musicaly I think it drives. I think its awesome.

clevohardcore - 6-26-2007 at 10:22 AM

I haven't even heard it yet and its awsome.

Jason the Magnificent - 6-26-2007 at 02:41 PM

Anyone a fan of Matt Hendersons guitar may want to check out his old band Blind Approach, GREAT band from Minneapolis, released 2 7" of ahead of their time metallic NYHC that will easily show you why AF snagged him up.

DaveMoral - 6-26-2007 at 07:34 PM

I wonder if that's on Soulseek...

Jason the Magnificent - 6-26-2007 at 08:31 PM

possible, I'm sure someone has it, they're both three song 7"s. I have them somewhere, once in a while i see copies on ebay...very worth it since they usually go for around $15

BDx13 - 7-11-2007 at 05:50 PM

here's a second track:

CR83 - 7-11-2007 at 05:53 PM

I'm liking this. I haven't seen any leaks yet either. Surprising to me.

clevohardcore - 7-11-2007 at 06:28 PM

Thats it. I am on record as saying they get better and better with time. I don't give a fuck who disagrees with me, but they they are treading ground that only SOIA have been able to do. Keep releasing awsome shit and never suck. All I heard was 2 songs and they are fucking great.

godabandonedme - 7-11-2007 at 07:17 PM

Sounds like standard Madball, an thats a good thing in my opinion.

Jason the Magnificent - 7-11-2007 at 07:53 PM

That second song is monotonous as hell.

I like this better
