I ripped the SOIA tribute cd and it is seperate for each band. How do I make this a complete cd from start to finish so I can jam his out?

Change the artist to be 'SOIA tribute' the title to be 'SOIA tribute' then put the artist in the song titles.

OR make sure that the 'part of a compilation' box is checked in the Get Info page of the audio files, and when you want to play the album, sort by
album name under compilations.

part of comp is check it was all aong. Weird. For some reason it won't list the complete album. Same with my WORLDWIDE tribute to OI cd. this sucks.

- go to the first screen of your itunes preferences. is "group compilation when browsing" checked?
- if not, check it.
- if so (or once it is), and if you are using the browser window to sort in itunes (the three column window at the top of the screen that sorts genre,
artist and album), then the very first item under Artists-All should be 'compilations'.
- if you want to listen to a compilation album from start to finish, you need to select 'compilations' under artist, then the album name in the
'album' window.
this will keep the meta data accurate and allow you to listen to the album from start to finish.
the downside, obviously, is that if you choose the music you want to hear by artist, then you'll only ever find one track from the comp per artist.
the alternative is honus's suggestion - make the artist for every track of the comp 'SOIA Tribute'.

anytime!
by the way, this is like the third or fourth time i've considered just sending you a u2u with my phone number.
as i'm sure you've gathered, i'm a huge fan of apple's products, so i have no problem taking the time to help a fellow thorp boarder figure 'em out,
but all this typing takes forever!
just remember that most times, if software is working one way and you want it to work in the complete opposite way, that there is probably a way to
make that happen. programmers have to decide on some sort of default logic for an application, but good ones give you the ability to change that
logic so the app works the way you want.
