ahhahahahhah are you talking about Tank Abbot?
This is going to be funny as hell.
MM.gavin - 6-27-2007 at 03:13 PM
yeah man
tank abbott
should be a fun fight to watch
certainly not a masterpiece of holds and submission attempts
just a good old punch fest until they both get too tired to stand upMuttley - 6-27-2007 at 03:13 PM
Tank's gonna get smoked.gavin - 6-27-2007 at 03:19 PM
no way
kimbo aint smokin tank
mark my words
i dig kimbo alot
dont get me wrong
but he is a striker
and tank is a striker
tank has power on him
if tank tags him in the first few mins, kimbo is done
if it goes longer than 3 mins, kimbo might have a chance
kimbo better take tank down right awayBKT - 6-27-2007 at 03:54 PM
I cant wait to see this fight. And Tank will win this fight for sure as long as he ends it quick.
MM.clevohardcore - 6-27-2007 at 04:01 PM
I've been out of the loop on stuff like this for a while. Didn't Tank spot doing this stuff a while ago? Retire if you want to call it that?gavin - 6-27-2007 at 04:22 PM

well he hasnt done very well in his last bunch of fights
he comes out really strong but gets tired quick
he also takes fights on a day or twos notice which dosent help him cuz he was never much of a trainer
with this fight he has months to train and i think, if he does, he will take kimbo with little problemSiczine.com - 6-27-2007 at 06:24 PM
I want Tank to win but man he is fucked if he doesnt KO Kimbo in the early going. How will this be broadcasted?DAK - 6-27-2007 at 06:44 PM
Street fight eh??
Kimbo wins
that is all
sorry for stealing RV spotgavin - 6-27-2007 at 07:12 PM
the more i think about it the more i think tank is gonna take him
kimbo lost to that gannon guy for fucks sakeMuttley - 6-28-2007 at 01:22 PM
Kimbo has stamina, Tank has NONE.... Kimbo will wear him out (which takes what, a minute?) and then beat his ass.
People seem to forget that Kimbo is training with Bas Rutten, one of the all time best in my opinion. Bas is gonna have him on point for this fight.
As for Tank, he SHOULD have retired a while ago.gavin - 6-28-2007 at 01:50 PM
i dig bas alot
no doubt
but kimbo has never really been tested by a real fighter
i say tank by k.o. in the first roundgavin - 6-28-2007 at 02:01 PM
i don't follow this at all, but i feel like i saw that black guy in a street fight video on youtube.gavin - 6-28-2007 at 02:54 PM
yeah thats him
tanks gonna fuck "im upMurk - 6-28-2007 at 03:12 PM

Great Kimbo quote, "I'll do two dudes in one day!"
That cup on top of his trophy is the same one I got for coaching a peewee hockey tournament a few years back. My friend and I drink beer out of it on
our birthdays.Murk - 6-28-2007 at 03:39 PM

kimbo does rulegavin - 6-28-2007 at 04:06 PM
yeah i saw that fight
kimbo looked real good
but he aint throwin tank around like that
it just aint happening
as strong as kimbo is, tank is stronger and has way better striking
again, the only way i see kimbo beating tank is him lasting over 3 minsSiczine.com - 6-28-2007 at 05:44 PM
MBV-You know where this will be played at?Murk - 6-28-2007 at 11:32 PM

no doubt, but Kimbo can take some shit, Gannon wasn't throwin' pillow punches.
the odds in the betting circuit were on Mercer for that fight.
this might be one of the most equal sided fights ever.
Slice made his sanctioned MMA debut against former world champion boxer Ray Mercer (6'1, 241.9 lb) at Cage Fury Fighting Championships 5, in
Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 23, 2007. A video of Slice signing for the fight can be seen on the Cage Fury Fighting Championships official
website. Kimbo is currently training with MMA legend Bas Rutten. Slice talked about his debut in an interview with [1] touchgloves.com. The match was
a three-round exhibition utilizing all professional rules of mixed martial arts combat. In this fight he beat Mercer using a guillotine choke.[4]
After the win, Kimbo was interviewed and stated that he would like to fight Tank Abbott. Abbott, who was a spectator, stood up from his seat
and accepted the call out. One of the matchmakers for CFFC asked Kimbo for his assurance so that a September 14th bout between Kimbo and Tank
Abbott can be organized. [5]
"Oh yes, there will be blood." gavin - 6-28-2007 at 11:42 PM
Siczine-not sure if its a reg. ppv thing or not
its for this cage rage organization
they seem a bit low budget
who knows
murk-yeah man. this fight is gonna be killer, esp. since i like both of them. but tanks my boy so i gotta pull for him. i knew there was no way mercer
was winning that fight. no fuckin way.
he's past his time and MMA dosent seem to be his thing the way boxing was. its a whole 'nother ballgame.random - 6-29-2007 at 12:28 AM
It'll be on PPV. I'm sure they're both getting paid more than most UFC guys who have more talent just cause Tank and Kimbo draw viewers (though,
let's be honest, it makes sense they get paid more due to that fact). Wasn't the Kimbo-Mercer fight in Cage Fury and on PPV? (Sorry, too lazy to
check the first page of the thread.)
I'd lean towards Tank in this one. He does take too many fights on damn near zero notice, which makes his record look like crap. I think his last
fight it's widely known that he was hammered on vodka and said "yeah" on a week's notice or so.
I've definitely seen Tank give in to some weak subs, but I don't think Kimbo is *that* talented. He's done some minimal MMA training beyond his
backyard fights. But hell, the Gannon fight that many have seen was bullshit because they couldn't grapple... I'd say "can't go to the ground", but
just check out Kimbo's guys come in when Gannon throws some knees in the clinch.
In the end, it'll be an interesting fight. It may go stand-up and we'll see a brawl. If it goes to the ground, we'll either learn that Kimbo sucks
or that he has some minimal skill. If he loses, it's the former. If he wins, it's the latter.
When the bell rings at the end, I say Tank by KO. Like Badvibes said, it's an unusual event for Tank to have the opportunity to actually get in shape
for a fight.random - 6-29-2007 at 12:33 AM
Just read page 1. The part about training with Bas isn't as big of a deal as some of you think. Hell, lots of guys are MFS, but not all are
top-caliber fighters. Think of the fat guy on one of the TUF seasons, Mike Whitehead... he's done OK in IFL, but he aint' great by any means. Maybe
Kimbo has developed some skills... maybe he still isn't anything but a backyard fighter who schooled an over-the-hill boxer. We'll find out soon
enough.
