Philadelphia mayor John F. Street waited patiently along Ranstead St. at 16th St. in Center City to be third in line to purchase an iPhone from the AT&T on Friday, June 29, 2007. It was raining most of the morning and the mayor stayed dry in this Gore_tex rainsuit.

That will never happen, that was just something to stir the pot to help show the voters he's trying to make a "change". Doing that shit will cause more harm than good.

And it's funny, a white mayor would never attempt such a bold proposition, he would be labeled racist. Why no one has called Nutter out for this is beyond me. I agree, this city needs some changes but profiling people is not the way to go about it.

Seriously, no one's calling Nutter out on it all hardcore probably because he's black, but there've definitely been people questioning it. And you're right, it would never happen.

I don't follow politics very closely, in fact I think it is a bunch of crap, but I can see that the city of Phila has just gone down the shit pipe since Street has been running it...I mean that shit he said when he got elected the first time..."the brothas are running things now" i mean fuck that afroed jerk off.
I doubt that the city will ever turn around for the better. the ghettos get more dangerous and the yupppies spread out ferther into fishtown.

she was a paramedic that contracted hep. c, on the job, because of giving a baby c.p.r. who i believe was drowning in a toilet.
the city would not give her a pension as she was unable to work from being so sick.
she camped out in city hall for what i believe was 5 days to try to talk to Street herself.
Street walked past her many times a day, ignored her, like didnt even exknowledge she was there.
he eventually had the bathrooms locked(which apparently by law he is not allowed to do since city hall is supposed to be "for the people") so she was forced to leave.
this was 4-5 years ago
in april the city just gave her a pension.
this is after years of treatments, chemo twice a week, ect.
the city still voted 5-3
streets comment on it was .......
"i remmeber her but i dont know if she got her pension or not. i dont follow that"

timoney was a great police commish.
but he butted heads with street.
so he "left"/ was let go.
this dude now..........he's a big a joke as street
but he's black so i guess he is above critisism in the media
just like street was for so long

The city was in much better shape with Timoney here. I saw somewhere that he has ties to one of the candidates running for mayor but i forget where.
the police chief in my town is pretty hardcore on cleaning up the mess it has become. they even made up t shirts witht he slogan "not in my town scumbag" printed on them. when they do drug raids (which is probably 2 times a week) they leave stickers with that printed on it affifed to the boarded up doors afterwards.
As much as people tended to criricize Rendell, i think he did a far better job. way fuckin beter.

Yeah, there is no such thing as a perfect politician but Rendell was much better than Street.
