Honus' presents his photos of Slapshot in Florida!

BDx13 - 7-6-2007 at 10:35 PM

there are embarrassingly few people dancing during that song in the video.
kids should be ashamed of themselves.

a lot of kids left after a band called "Make or Break" and they played right before UPPERCUT (then Killing Time, then Slapshot)

DeathByForce - 7-7-2007 at 02:51 PM

Florida kids are stupid.

a similar thing happened when Death Before Dishonor and Ramallah played the Knitting Factory in LA. after the first 2 local bands played, the placed emptied out, maybe half. after Ramallah played and by the time DBD took the stage it was pretty empty. it was a complete reversal of what usually happens at a show.

Uppercut, Killing Time, and Slapshot were the only bands I can recall wishing I could get there to see. I don't remember the full lineup of the fest, but the only other band I actually remember was 108 and they definitely were NOT on my list.

And I'll go a step beyond what BD said, I'm fucking ashamed of kids these days. Shit like this is why I hate hardcore kids for the most part and wish they would get their own name for that shit they listen to, because it obviously has NOTHING to do with real Hard Core. It's like claiming to be a fan of Country music and not liking Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr.

Both your guys photos are cool.

So true. Even though I like some stuff you wouldn't consider real hardcore. Kids these days make me glad I don't go to shows anymore.

So XHonusX is the tough guy with the beard and Mrs. Core is the cute blonde?
:) :)

I beleive the blonde your asking about is Heather, Ed's Slapshot guitar player/Welch Boys singer) girlfriend.

Discipline - 7-9-2007 at 12:34 PM

I hope Choke was his usual cheery self and let the douchebags there know what he thought of them.

Yeah, we where in the background of some of Honus' pics back in the crowd. Not on stage.

Choke seemed to be his usual self but keep in mind I hadn't seen them play since '95 and Choke seemed more talkative back then but he didn't have two kids back then either. The first time I saw them in '89 Choke didn't really say anything on stage, they just played the songs. He seemed pretty humble at the Florida show mostly making fun of himself more then anyone else.
