Bookies taking bets on whether Amy Winehouse turns up to gigs

British bookmakers William Hill are offering 1/2 odds on Amy Winehouse not turning up to her next gig, scheduled to be Tuesday's (July 17) Eden Sessions show at the Eden Project in Cornwall, England.

The odds offer comes after Winehouse cancelled her scheduled appearances in the U.K. at last weekend's T In The Park and Oxegen festivals, and was photographed drinking in her local pub despite citing "exhaustion" as the reason for her cancellation.

"Amy has cancelled too many gigs for us not to give out odds," a spokesperson for William Hill said. "The concert is next week so she'll have to sort herself out for that and I can't see it happening."

Damn that song is so fucking annoying. I heard for the first time working out at the gym about 1 month ago and thought What the fuck is this shit? Then they played that fucking song about partying like a rockstar or whatever. Needless to say the Ipod come with me now to the gym now. NO more "rehab" and no more "rockstar".

about 6 months ago or so my girl sends me a link to that rehab video.
i was having a really bad day and was like what are you sending me this crap for.
shes like oh fuck you man thats the last time i ever try and turn you on to stuff.
so every time Amy Winehouse is mentioned she calls me names....i actually dig her after listening though....catch me on a bad day and you just dont know what to expect...

so, for those of you who don't like her... what is it you don't like?

do you think she's a gimmick? do you not like soul in general? is the combination of a classic sound with modern lyrics too much of a mash up? do you think she's doing the originators of that style a disservice?

i mean, it's not like she was packaged like a brittney spears or christina agulera because her sound is super-popular right now. i think part of the reason she's getting so much press is because what she's doing IS kind of different.

I got an issue of Rolling Stone in the mail and she was on the cover. I didn't know who she was and I must have said something like "who's this idiot?" and the Mrs. couldn't believe I hadn't heard of her. She then brought up a bunch of videos on youtube and I didn't like it. I'd give her another chance since I don't exactly remember WHY I didnt like her stuff. I just remember saying it was crap and telling her to turn it off.
