it sounds like you're having a problem with what, in the nerd world, are called cookies. they're small files that your browser collects with information about each site you visit. (the thorprecords.com cookie includes your username and password so that the next time you come to the site, it knows who you are.)

what browser and operating system are you using? somewhere in your browser's preferences, there is probably an option that allows you to accept or decline cookies. find that, click accept, and you'll probably be good to go.

i use internet explorer. will the option i need be located right in the browser? or do i need to look elsewhere? i'm looking through the "internet options" thing in my browser and i'm not finding anything.......

yes, it is an explorer-specific setting, but i haven't used that browser in a long time.

can anyone else explain to saaars exactly where the 'cookies' option is in ie?

when are ytou redoing the site duane?

BDx13 - 3-1-2005 at 05:45 PM

just starting on it now. the next version of the site will have to be significantly more tech than this five-year-old, hand coded monstrosity (did i tell you i started using cutenews for the homepage & news section?).

anyway, i know what i want to do for the design, but haven't actually created anything yet. also working on outlining the database structure and detertming what kind of info will be needed where. i'll probably be looking for some assistance from a php-pro that might want to volunteer some time... (cough... greghxc... cough).
